Natsuki tried her best to glare at the use of the 'cute' nickname and the arm grabbing but seeing Shizuru's happy smile seemed to make her lose her glaring ability.
"It was fine, I got to classes on time. Thanks for the extra alarm this morning by the way" she added giving Shizuru a smile, "And I didn't get lost once." Natsuki replied proudly, admittedly she had received help for her first class and after that had pretty much followed others, however she had still done it.
"How about your day? You had an early start this morning" She had to admit she had been surprised that Shizuru had already gone when she woke up, she must have left very early.
"Yes, I do start early now," shizuru said a slight downcast to her voice as she pondered her guilt fueled morning routine, but quickly she shook off the mood dampening thoughts. there was no time for her to be depressed, she was with her beloved Natsuki. "But I didn't think you'd notice sleepyhead." The teasing lilt to her voice quickly returned, but her smile was a little less enthusiastic, held down by the chains she herself had put upon herself
( ... )
Natsuki immediately felt guilty for bringing up Shizuru's morning routine, obviously her friend was not ready to open up to her about some things yet and Natsuki couldn't blame her for that. The carnival had been hard on everybody but particularly hard on Shizuru it made sense that she would need the most time.
Hearing the hesitance in Shizuru's voice and noticing the change when she referred to Natsuki she instinctively tightened her arm around Shizuru's. Natsuki had become used to Shizuru's teasing and way in which she would talk about her and, for some reason she didn't feel like exploring right now, felt saddened that Shizuru didn't feel she could continue.
"I made it to class let's not push it with a show of brilliance" Natsuki joked, not comfortable with the confidence Shizuru was showing in her. She didn't want to let her down but Natsuki knew what kind of record she had in a school setting and it wasn't good. "Anyway I want to hear about your day too" she added.
ooc:hmm, maybe we can do a thread where Shziuru waked up disgustingly early, but Natsuki waked up as well, perhaps follows her or confrontation ensues?
Shizuru led them both to a table which was empty and hesitating, the older girl wasn't sure whether she should sit across from Natsuki, or next to her. Before the choice would be simply and she'd slide right next to the biker, most of the time scooting close enough to be on her lap, where a blushing Natsuki would push her away, but in light of her new resolution to simply be Natsuki's friend, Shizuru sat across.
"I had a good afternoon now that Natsuki is here," Shizuru supplied avoiding the question of her morning. She didn't want to worry Natsuki with explaining her daily visits to the temple, and really, Natsuki was part of the reason she made those visits. She had betrayed Natsuki, and surely a part of Natsuki's anger was still following the guilt ridden girl.
OOC: I'll have Ralph join in as soon as the two ladies are eating, but for now... I think I'll slowly prepare myself to go to bed. ^^; Just so you know.
"I had no lessons today," Ralph replied to Natsuki's question. "Tuesdays and Thursdays, I am excused of lessons, because I have to prepare the lessons for Gunnery. I hope that by the end of this school year, I can get my teacher's certificate and start teaching Gunnery here without a supervisor."
Though Soi had scolded her just a little bit for being late. Still, certain rumours moved fast among the students, and she'd easily deflected it with pointing out Soi herself had been late for a certain PE lesson.
"How were the rest of your lessons, Miss Natsuki," Ralph then inquired. "Do you like it here so far?"
OOC: Hope it's alright with the Soi-references. ;)
OOC: Couldn't resist. =D It's like Natsuki was begging me to let Ralph respond like this.
"I can't wait to see you on the Gunnery field," Ralph said with a smile. "We'll be doing a simulation today. It's always been the favourite of students. Of course, the field is always open for some extra lessons after class, if the student feels she needs it."
She gave Natsuki a friendly smile, though her eyes looked intently at Shizuru. "If you ever feel the need for some extra lessons after school, don't hesitate to come to me."
ooc: warning: Emo!Shizuru has made her appearance ^.^
As Ralph seemed to expect Shizuru certainly was not happy with the offer of "help," and her mask cracked a bit as the words reached her ears. She wanted to keep her neutral, but pleasant, face and restrain her own emotions, but she was nearing her breaking point. Instead of becoming angry, Shizuru felt a well of sadness. There was nothing she could do, Natsuki had rejected her, and if Natsuki chose to fins happiness with this Ralph Ashton, then as a friend, she musn't stand in the way. But that didn't meant she could watch it and not break into pieces all over again.
"I'm sorry, but, I have to leave," Shizuru said her voice strained, barely clinging to the sound of normalicy. Quickly with her head slightly turned aside Shizuru made a hasty exit, not sure where she was headed, but determined to get there...

She smiled, "I'm looking forward to the more...interesting lessons though. Gunnery included" she added with a grin
