Optimism isn't something that should be treated like a slick bar of soap. It isn't something that threatens to fly out of one's hands at any given moment ( ... )

I do not believe that optimism is something that can fly out of our hands as it isn't something that one can physically grasp or touch. It is a concept that is ingrained in our very thoughts through our experiences. What I do believe is that it is something that can be overpowered and shattered through experiences that are extremely negative. Pessimism has its place and both take turns throughout our lives. We are always in a constant state of tearing down and building up our make of the two ideas as we go on in our living ( ... )

Being an adult means you can stay up as long as you want and can eat aaaaaall the candy you like! Yay!

Which just reminded me joyfully of the Dublin Mudslide ice cream that lies within my grasp in the cold confines of my freezer.

Really though, any sense of responsibility squashes that whole stay up late and eat tons of candy. So does the fact that you will someday be a jobless diabetes ridden fat-ass with a colorful adult rainbow of health issues. How is that for doing what you want?

There is no joy without consequence in this harsh world. But the great thing is that it works the other way around too. :)

Here, here.
I've been such a negative-nancy as of late... there's so much money problems going on right now with everything but thankfully I do have someone to go through it all with, and we eat our cheap store brand breads and our 10-dollar budjet dinners and everything is okay. Especially when we finish it off with some delicious Ben & Jerry's... heehehe!

Life isn't a storybook, and those living with their heads stuck up their rainbow arses needs to get a reality check. A girl I work with is one of these people. Just because "mommy" is paying for her schooling doesn't mean she'll get a job in nursing [She laughed at even the prospect of VOLUNTEERING... ><;;] but she doesn't realize that things like that boost your overall life... that, and she thinks prince charming will come and sweep her off her feet! HA... HA HA... good luck with that ( ... )

It is funny how I was naive in so many ways when I moved out of that house. I thought that I could do way more things then I actually could. Well, life taught me well and now I know to do the things that I want to do I have to do the things that will make that possible.

Dreaming has its place but it does work if that is all you are using to get yourself by in life! That girl, she will learn like I did!

Adulthood is just some fancy name to say your gut hangs out and your hair is turning gray.

Keep on fighting, live every day as if it is your last, and always have fun while doing so!
