One of my fish died today. It was the little red one named Eiji. I know that life and death happens, but he was my favorite. He was always full of energy and fun to watch and sometimes he'd follow my finger. But now he's gone.

We've learned to manage. I still miss her, of course. And I'm sure you'll still miss Eiji. One might get over the pain, but the empty place a loss like that leaves in one's heart isn't easily filled.

I know. That doesn't make it easier when a pet or friend or relative you care about dies, though.
