Find the road and take it

Studying for finals is seriously owning my ass.  I'm worrying for the first time this semester because I'm not all that confident I'll do well since I skipped so many classes due to my poor health in November and December.  I really hope I'll be ok and I'm sure I will...doesn't help that I'm worrying like crazy.

AND TO DISTRACT ME AND MY FELLOW ( Read more... )

squeeeeee, school, wolverine, x-men, gaaaaaaaaaambbbbbbiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit, finals tiemz, slightly screwed

*SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES*

Aight. Now that we've got that out of the way...

There are shitloads of different Wolverine Origin stories in the comics, and I really couldn't tell you which is officially canon. Gambit was never involved in any, nor do I recall Emma Frost as being part of them either. Deadpool, however, was part of Weapon X as well, has the crazy healing powers like Wolverine, and if I'm remembering my canon correctly, was developed around the same time. I know that it's accepted that Wolverine was married to a pretty Japanese girl, but they used Mariko (his love interest) as that chick with the claws in the second movie. Of course, maybe they'll link that. We'll see.

I don't know if this is what you mean, so if you have something more specific for me to work with, I'd be happy to explain what I can.

But on a side note, GAMBIT. *drools* I was waiting for him to say something and melt my brain with a lovely Louisiana accent, but alas. I have to settle for THE FEDORA. Truth be told? I can work with that. Omnomnom.

Damn...you sure reply fast woman lol. :SQUEES WITH YOU:

Hmm yeah, I thought that was Emma but I was like "WTF is she doing in Origins?!? o_0" But deadpool in there makes me very happy, and I'm excited that Liev Schriber is playing Sabertooth, and sorry I giggled at that last part with the teeth. I've always loved him as an actor and I think he'll do a great job.

So like..explain to me the deal with this Mariko chick, japanese chick, and chick in movie, cause I am VERY VERY confused. For a hardcore Wolverine fan, I sure suck at knowing my canon history about him.

DUDE I WILL TAKE THAT MOTHER EFFIN' FEDORA ANY DAY NOMNOMNOMNOMNOM!!

WAITWAITWAITWAITWAITWAITWAITWAITWAITWAIT HOLD THE PHONE

Ryan Reynolds is playin' DEADPOOL. Holy crap that's perfect, they're giving MORE reasons to be excited about this movie. eeeeeeeeeeee

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, woah, I don't think I ever caught that. Granted they must've called her that for a reason, so Idk, I would think where they went out of her way to call her Mariko that they might make the connection, who knows.

jgerowjtoierwpt Dude yah...I know that would be....ew. But I mean they're merging timelines left and right so you could make it work.

Oh...OH! ZOMFG! Suddenly mentions of that hat makes me want sexy Remi/Rogue with said hat. Fedoras and martinis and poker and smexyness and jgoierjto ok...I need to stop

Like this. Wolverine blows. Mother fucker has the mutant power to be the center of the Marvel Universe. I grew up reading comics in the early- to mid-nineties, when EVERYTHING was Wolverine. I'm just a little Wolverined out.

In the past, my favorite X-Men have been Gambit (then they made him a pussy, thank you very much Rogue) and Colossus (who I do still marginally like), but my all-time favorite has got to be Beast. Nightcrawler comes a close second, but Beast is my boy.

Ok first off the question was directed at Na, but whatever I still like to hear people's opinions.

:shrugs: I probably would be tired of him too if I was raiseed on him constantly and being force fed all the time. It's probably why I'm not a huge fan of Colossus or Storm, I've seen their been through that. We've seen enough of them already let's have some kool characters for once. Plus personally I've always liked Wolverine in any verse, but he is overkill sometimes, so like I said I can agree with you, to some extent, it just really comes down to a different of opinion I guess.

Well you already know my favorite lol, so no point in saying that.

If I recall correctly from my X Men TAS days (and that was way back when I was a little tyke getting my weekly Saturday morning cartoon fix), the black haired chick is Silver Fox. She was introduced in this one episode where Wolverine sets off on his own to discover his past - yet again. So he sets off to Canada (which is covered with snow, of course) and meets up with the old gang of Canadian mutants. At first it seems that Wolverine and Silver Fox had a romantic relationship in their past, but then it's revealed that this romance could just be the result of fabricated memories courtesy of Project X. The episode ends with Wolverine choosing to believe that those memories were real, while Silver Fox decides that those memories were the straw that broke the camel's back and refuses to go with him.

*Waves hands in victory dance* Yes! Another victim to Gambit's charm! And seeing that fedora I can't see how anyone can resist him. Fedora... There should be a law that all hot men must own at least one fedora.

:nod nod: You are correct my dear. I actually went on a Wikipedia hunt after I made this post and I found out that it was indeed Silver Fox.

Not to mention after you give that episode description that was in fact the one I was thinking about. TURNS OUT MY MEMORIES NOT THAT FAULTY AFTER ALL!!

Hehe, agreed agreed. Fedoras are just way too smexy to handle particularly on our Lousiana lad. GOOD, just picturing him with that hat and that accent is enough to make me drool..or faint...or BOTH.

Yay! Childhood memories FTW! And they said watching Saturday morning cartoons would rot my brain. Hah!

They are going to need so many ambulances on stand by when this hits theatres. The audience will suffer from heat stroke when Gambit comes on in his fedora. Nnngh.

HAHAHA, I also find it funny that most of said Childhood memories have made me what I am today and I still worship now i.e. X-Men, Escaflowne, just to mention a few.

HAHAHA, As I said in my above comment I don't even know how I'm going to react if I even see one of the HAWT threesome never mind all three. Maybe I'll just pass out and die from heart failure who knows?

I would love to get some folk together to see the spirit, but not until after the 27th. Reason one: Disney. Reason two: broke as fuck.

Heh I'm sure we can work something out, I'm sure most of us will be pressed for funds after christmas anyways.

fulguratus December 16 2008, 17:50:10 UTC
Um oh yeah! I forgot about that actually.

I'm really thinking about it honestly. Truth be told I haven't have time to decide whether I want to but I really really like the concept. Its just a concept if I have time to keep up with and do it consistently. I'll have a better judge come January, but I could definitely start brain storming over break, and if come school time I can't handle it...well we'll just play it by here.

But so, in other words a probably maybe, because I really wanna play I just don't know if I'm able to and haven't had time to think of anything, in summary lol.
