If I fail my chem exam tomorrow I'm going to fail the class this semester (considering I already have the lowest C possible in the class) thus ruining any chance I have of ever getting into a medschool therefore I shall drop pre-med and go be either just a psych major or do something frivolous like philosophy which I possibly should have just done

IF you happen to get into the situation where you would fail it and stuff.. if you go talk to a dean about that sort of thing they usually let you drop it and take an incomplete or something. i had a friend drop a class more than halfway through.. he needed permission and stuff.. but at least that way you'll save your GPA. you'd have to take the course again though (of course).
