Despite the bad situation, the two decide to make the best of things and have a varied conversation, with subjects including Claude's fighting experience, Rena's kidnapping, his Federation training, medicine on their respective planets, and Ronixis' first wife. Things take a turn for the worse when Guy suddenly looks as though he's seen a ghost and begins to suffer heavy blood loss. Claude is forced to make a decision on what to do.
Day 44
Breakfast: Having learned on the board that Guy survived, Claude is relieved. Normally, this would be a good thing, but then he discovers that he's about to be used as a pawn in one of Martin Landel's games -- starting with a battle to the death with Dias Flac, which turns out in a way Claude didn't expect or want. When it seemed like things couldn't get any worse, he realizes Guy isn't going to survive, either.

He blacks out before he can ask Mason to deliver a message to Guy.
Nightshift 49:
Disciplinary Therapy Room 1 [M-U] Claude wakes up and is shocked to discover he is the next "sleep studies" victim. Though he's furious with the staff for their unethical treatment of others, his own doctor reminds him that they're only trying to "improve" him. His past feelings of inadequacy toward his father, as well as his failings to save his friends in the basement, are dredged up as proof that he ought to appreciate what they've done to him. By the time it's all over, Claude realizes that no one will be coming for him, and manages to pick himself up from the operating table.
General Storage: Much to his surprise, he doesn't wind up in the hallway. Due to his blindness from the experiment, he doesn't realize he's in the storage area, and tries to make his way back to the table in order to regain his bearings.

Doctor's Office #9 (Dr. Weaver): Though Claude can't tell he's in the exact same room as before, it doesn't take him long to figure out that something about all this is awfully familiar. Though he's annoyed that he's wasting energy, he makes himself try his chances through the door once more.
Twin Pine's Restaurant: As soon as he realizes he's in Doyleton, Claude doesn't waste much time in trying to get out of there.
Homeworld: Calnus (c. SD 346): Though Claude can't immediately tell where he is, he strongly suspects he's on board a ship. Before he can get to the bottom of things, however, he loses his final bit of strength and collapses onto the floor. He's soon found by his father and a man named Gilbert. (WIP)
