So as i was rummaging through newpapers to do my beloved election notebook, i came across this clever article. The picture i found myself on the internet. here is the article:
The Miss America Pageant is without a TV home, after ABC dumped the show because of low ratings. Years ago, Miss America was a big deal on TV, but ratings have fallen steadily, even though the show switched to bikinis this year. Now there's speculation Miss America might have to go to a cable TV channel or smaller network. If so.,some changes might have to be made:
- On Lifetime: Each contestant will be stalked by a deranged, jealous ex-boyfriend but will bravely fight back and triumph in the end.
- Fox News Channel: Winner gets a congralutory phone call from someone important
- On PBS: The whole teo hours is a bout the history of the pageant, told with black-and-white photos and narrated by Sam Washington. Interrupted several by pledge drives.
- On Spike: Jell-O wrestling in thongs. "But it's still a scholarship competition at heart."
- On ESPN: Just play the highlight of the crowning over and over and over.
- ON HBO: "If I [exlpletive] win, I'll use my [expletive] crown to campaign for [expletive] peace."
