Maybe it isn't appropriate, nor is it probably the time to say a kyrie for Barbaro, the gorgeous 3 year-old who broke his right hind leg in two places tonight at the Preakness. I am so glad I wasn't feeling well enough to make it to the race today--I don't know if I could have endured watching it happen in person. I would have been one of those

:) Good to hear from you. Things have been a little...difficult around here lately, so I haven't posted much. Fortunately, I have an amazing husband who has gone from being a mere Super Hero to an Immortal in my eyes. For over 6 weeks now he has done absolutely everything to keep this family together, body and soul. Every stitch of housework, yardwork, cooking, childcare, lifting and toting, hefting and baling. Everything. And, if you can believe this, he has never complained once, even after serving me over 100 meals in bed. He keeps telling me that he is so happy to do it for me and to take care of me so that I can just relax and get better.

He has totally made up for missing my birthday twice and all of our anniversaries since we were married.
