I only update my journal before finals, don't I?

I need to start using this thing more. I keep meaning to write down stuff that happens because wheee memories! but then I get caught up in other stuff or I'm too freaking lazy (mostly that second one) and nothing happens.

So I'm going to try to update this sucker about once a week. I mean, I never keep a paper journal or anything and it seems like ( Read more... )

finals, rant, life, college, wasting time again

I just want to do nothing either, but at least you like your school and have lots of friends there....so its less depressing than not liking your school.

It'd be great if you updated more, I haven't heard from you in forever and it'd be nice to keep in touch, if only reading occasional updates~ :3

Speaking of Japanese, it sounds like you're pretty well versed in it, would you have any recommendations for a website or some resource where I can quickly brush up on my conversational Japanese and Hiragana/Katakana? I'm going to Japan in a month and sadly all my reading/writing skills have long since left the building, haha xD Would appreciate any suggestion <3

Aww, yeah ♥ that's another reason I need to be on LJ more lol. Keep in touch with people ><

Hmm, I actually haven't used online resources other than dictionaries and stuff like that since I was trying to teach myself yeaaars ago, but I think this site has some stuff? http://www.japanese-online.com/

Other than that, the books I used to teach myself were of the Japanese for Busy People series, and I feel they were helpful. Using those books (vol. 1-2), I managed to test into Intermediate level when I started taking classes, so I'd say they were a good buy. I think they're about $25 or so? I'm sure it'd be cheaper used or on Amazon or something.

If you have a DS, there's a dictionary 'game' that I use that I really like called Sonomama Kanji Rakubiku Jiten, and you can write in kanji, kana, or even English words. It's very useful. :)

Thank you so much! I will definitely take a look into the site and the books, that's amazing that you could test into that class just from that, so it sounds promising :o

I unfortunately don't have a DS, but that sounds like a great way to learn things. xD

Going to any cons or events this year~? :3
