Ed likes Claire sort of... the way Claire is meant to be liked. If that makes any sense. She is a pretty and nice girl. Ed doesn't think of them as exactly CLOSE but does think of them as friends. His feels for her are very much TRADITIONAL BOYISH feelings that Ed mostly represses because he's dumb about those sorts of things. He sort of ranges between basic friendship and tiny crush. Mostly, women who don't kick his ass confuse him. HE LIKES IT REALLY but he tends to be shy about it because. These women he has no idea how to deal with them. )= He's more comfortable with chicks who kick his ass because then he can yell at them and such and know it'll be okay.

That's precious, because Claire seriously wanted to smack Ed upside the head when he was being stupid with that modified wheelchair~ She considers Ed a friend and really liked how he didn't mack on her when they first met. Instead, he was kind and patiently explained something that was well beyond her comprehension, but he did it in such a way that she was able to understand it and even ask him about specifics later on. She's comfortable enough around him to open up about her... abilities, and if that's what it's gonna take to keep him from doing something stupid again, she'll do just that. ...with demonstrations, too! XD

I HAVEN'T INTERACTED WITH SHAMAL MUCH. But Reborn respects him the way he respects most capable assassins. I don't think that Reborn would hesitate to smack him around if necessary, but Shamal doesn't make it necessary. Shamal very much knows who and what he is and lives by it, which is the type of thing Reborn both likes and respects in a person. That he personally thinks Shamal's ways with women are a bit tacky isn't really relevant, it's HIS WAY so by all means |D ( ... )
