This is a public entry, so those on my friends list please forgive the repetition.
For those who are not on my friends list.... this is a quick run down of my week so far.
Monday - submitted my male/male romantic original fiction story Touch of a Ghost to
Silver Publishing for possible inclusion in their upcoming Halloween anthology.
Tuesday - got a reply from the publisher offering me a contract.
Wednesday - still in shock and not much happening other than squeeing and getitng to know some of the other authors with Silver Publishing. I am not the only new author there this week, so there is a lot of squeeing going on ;-)
Thursday - got the first edits on my story back from my new editor. Not nearly as many as I thought it would have, though the final edits are still to come.
Side note: Can you believe how fast these people work?
~
Now, I know that a lot of people here are not in the least bit interested in my original fiction, so until now I have pretty much kept those posts to friends only. However, there are a lot of people watching my journal who I have no idea if they are interested or not. So, this is how it is going to work.
I have today set up a new Dreamwidth account (thank you remuslives23 for the code) which is especially for my original fiction news posts. It is for age 18 and over by default. It is partly for that reason that I decided to set up a new journal for it. I didn't want to make this one 18+ when there are many younger readers of the Harry Potter fanfiction genre and many of my stories are suitable for younger readers.
My Dreamwidth journal is
here and my user name over there is my official pen name. The majority of my updates regarding my original fiction will be over there only. The only exception, after this post, will be cross-posts for new releases. (i.e. A cover and blurb on or near to the release date). That way those without a Dreamwidth account can see the new releases as well. Posts will be made for over 18s only (like this one is).

I would like to thank everyone who has read and reviewed my fanfiction over the years for your support. Without all your encouragement I am sure that I would never have plucked up the courage to send anything to a publisher. And I would certainly not be here now, just a couple of months away from being a published author.
Louisa
PS: Yes, I know I still have two fanfic WIPs. I do still intend to finish them.
