Remus was stationed at the desk he had in his old classroom as he waited for the first-years to trickle in, fully aware that they were probably still getting lost around the castle. "Professor? I don't get it," called out Amber. She was holding her wand in the air, a confused and desperate look on her face. She was determined to get the spell right, though each attempt didn't want to come out the way it shoulg. The kid sitting in front of her had just barely escaped a head full of bright pink hair.

"Could you please show me again?"

Remus came over to Amber after advising another student on how to wave his wand without impaling someone in the eye. He offered her a smile. "Of course."

He showed her the proper way to wave her wand, and said the incantation clearly. "Would you like to try again, then? Be careful when you wave the wand that you end with a sharp flick."

Amber nodded and looked forward, concentrating hard on her wand. She closed her eyes for a second, took a deep breath, and then she was ready. Moving her hand just as Professor Lupin had done, she said the spell outloud.

Her eyes light up when she realized that she's finally done it right. "Wicked! Thanks."
