[The puppies have only left to eat and have otherwise not left their mistresses' side since she was brought to Tsuzuki's house pretty much in a sleep-coma of sorts. However, the auburn-haired girl finally finds that the sleep is leaving and in return for the refreshed but somewhat numb feeling finds that there is a ball of warmth on her stomach.

[So he really had been here before, if the words coming from Kairi's mouth were to be believed. And why wouldn't they be? Kairi never had a reason to lie to him in a long while. But...

The brand new blindfold rested in his lap; he couldn't show this face to her, so quickly he ties it around his eyes and in an instant darkness dissipates to show who the form really is: one of her best friends, and one who had no recollection of his past experiences in this city. He felt a pang of guilt for not being able to recall, but it hurts just to watch the feed and not say anything.

Kairi...How could he even show himself to her in his current condition? Would she even see him through this darkness he found himself in like he 'saw' through the illusions? He's afraid, not of what he's become, but if someone so pure of heart--someone of the light--could even accept someone who was fighting to walk toward it and back to all he'd once forsaken. And he'd do it all over again for either her or Sora ( ... )

[He was the first good thing, aside from Axel's conversation. When his connection feed crackled to life on her side her heart had risen and then fallen with her sigh of relief. Riku...he was okay. He was alive. He was still here.

Although his manner of speaking...something about the tone behind the voice worried her and it was this that she picked up on immediately. She was always worried about him, about Sora...she bit her lip on the other side of the SFC, taking her own time and trying to decipher the meaning behind Riku's words. Maybe he was scared? If he was missing the memories of Vatheon (what she assumed because that was what usually happened or so she managed to find out from her own experiences) that was still okay. She had his charm around her wrist still from that one time; he would remember again. She would help him.] It's okay, Riku. If you don't remember here...that's okay. You at least remember me and that's a good place to start. [She gives a tiny laugh, smiling beyond the SFC, her heart beginning to be relaxed and ( ... )

[Well, he had to be good at something, he supposes. He has to be one of the most resilient of the Keyblade wielders, after all.

He knew the moment the words left his mouth that his friend had picked up on it to the point that he was internally cursing at himself for letting it slip. He was normally so good at hiding his emotions, but there were always two who'd bring them out into the open more than anyone else. And it wasn't just missing memories that had him worried. Riku wouldn't remember, but he could be reminded and remake those forgotten promises if need be. ...It wasn't the only thing to fear for, now that he knew for certain that Kairi was here. At least the small laugh made his hidden light burn just a bit brighter.

He waited, noticing the feed turning to private. He nods faintly to himself, but that question...] A little roughed up thanks to the dinosaurs, but otherwise- [He made a faint noise, like he was shifting in his seat. Admitting this was going to be hell.] Kairi, I'm from an earlier time from what I gathered from ( ... )

[Riku...Her heart bleeds for you.

So much.

Because she knows you mean so much to her and...well, she can see through you, in a sense. Into the light that hides within your darkness. Even through your voice...she knows that you are fighting and she'll stick with you till the end.] Well...dinosaurs would rough anyone up, right? Even Sora would have issues...that silly boy. [Towards his next comment...she hesitates, her voice lowering] Would it be...people like Vanitas, Riku? [Note here that she's never met the boy; only heard of him]

[Don't worry. I'm here with you. No matter what. Like we were before]

[It couldn't be more than what his does for her and Sora...

It's good to know that someone can even when he loses sight of it from time to time, when things look their bleakest. Will he admit that? Probably not, but it's the thought that counts. And now that someone is here... he's going to have a harder time fighting back. Not like he'd ever stop, though.] Yeah. Glad you slept through it, though; the Spinosaurus was a pain to take down. [He... wasn't going to say whose form he'd been in when they defeated that infernal creature; stupid little dinosaurs stealing his blindfold. Wait--] ...Who?

[I know you are... even if I can't remember. My heart keeps saying you are.

Finally, he gets a general idea of where she is. A path opens up, depositing +1 (one) silver-haired blindfold fetishist just outside the door, which he knocks on.] Kairi... It's me.

[It's not but then again their hearts have always bled for each other. No matter what has happened to them.

Even if he won't admit it she'll be there besides him, to help him fight. The darkness' greatest strength is when it's target is abandoned by all they ever cared for. However, if there was even one person besides them it would be harder for the darkness to consume their target. Especially when the one besides that special someone is pure of heart. And she sounds concerned for you, Ri--talking about that Spinosaurus makes her gasp softly; one can almost see the look of worry written on her face] Y...you're okay though, right? [His confusion towards the name given..or was it confusion? She couldn't identify the emotion properly] Yes...Vanitas. He was...here before, in Vatheon. People said that you...had helped him...and Ventus. I know you protected both of them...but...?

[Such is the pain of being connected by the heart, one supposes; a part of each others' lives even without that silly fruit.

And he'd silently appreciate it no matter how much he denies it to himself, because for so long he'd been all alone without any help besides Mickey occasionally. Him, Namine, and oddly enough... Xion. Still, they could only help so much and here he was, facing his fear of being judged by one of the two he cared for most.] Yeah; I'm alright. [Just one new scar. And... there was something from his past here he didn't know about; something no one had told him about.] ...I can't remember them-

[Oh, he really does hear that and he chuckles just a tad under his breath. True, there are a few who could have done it. Just the thought of almost all of the others capable of this made his blood boil, and to know their numbers were growing... He shook his head, clearing the thought from his mind as she opened the door ( ... )

[Pain is still pain in the long run, but... he'd admit to not minding this one. Even though not being able to sense Sora as well from here is a little...

Breathing and living, yes. Okay was still up for debate with this blasted shadow that yet stained his heart. And... he wouldn't remember it, but at least he was here now; he'd remember anything from this point on. Oddly enough, he's from just before that time -- before he had to willingly shift into that form so often to protect Sora's sleeping form, and the worlds as well. 'At least I'm still me,' he thought, 'Now that we're finally been able to talk again.'

That beat is just a little off, with that shadow still inside it; but it's still his and that's what matters. ...And damn; that statement was true. He chuckles a bit.] Guess it's just my luck. [He stiffens just a moment when fingertips touch the edge of the blindfold, almost in a silent message to not remove it. Riku has no idea what would happen if it was taken off again, and he has no desire to try it right this second ( ... )

[And of course she understands that feeling completely. Having had both of them close to her heart, and then both of them disappearing one right after the other...sure her heart is still whole but it feels cracked in three pieces and out of those three pieces only two feel filled now. One part of her heart still feels like a void, but she has confidence that he'll return ( ... )

[He beats her in that one, having to withstand the shadows from within while being reminded daily for almost a year that while Kairi was safe back home, Sora was... Riku shook the thought from his mind, knowing that someday Sora would awaken back home. He had to if he met so many here.

And someday... he'd be able to see Kairi's smile again -- both of them would. Sora deserved as much, as did Kairi while he kept ending up slipping into the background. But with the way Kairi was staying so close to him, she probably wouldn't allow him to even try it again.

Though the moment of silence before the laughter was a little... unsettling. He chuckled to himself; Kairi... ever the kindhearted and loyal friend. What would he ever do without either of them? Especially when the thought of Sora being there alongside Kairi -- no matter how far-off they seemed -- was what had kept him going so far along with, 'Even if it means the end of me... I will get him home so I can chew him out for taking such a long nap and not keeping his promise.'] Mm. I ( ... )

[Pardon me Riku, what was that? Were you suggesting something right there? Oh no, there was no way that this now-blushing Princess was letting you get away with that comment. And maybe a part of her heart was telepathic, because she had a feeling something was missing from his sentence and she couldn't help but add it as she lifted her head to look at his blinded-by-cloth eyes] And you too. Don't forget yourself, Riku. I know that Sora had rescued me too but...who was it that kept me safe? Who was it that protected both of us at one point? You're not just in the background; you mean so much to us, whether you made a silly choice or not.

[That was the Riku she knew. Teasing her about her "relationship" with Sora as always. She wanted to tell him that he was wrong but then she remembered that he didn't recall what he had said to her...and she to him...

even if her heart was on the mend, well...it was best to say it. Especially when someone like Riku says that they have catching up to do...] I said it then, and I'll say it again to you ( ... )

[Maaaaaaaybe. And--dammit; well, at least he tried. Also, he kind of said it so that it was possible that he left a verbal clue in there somewhere. So when he felt her gaze on his covered eyes, well... he was glad for his longer bangs.] It was still from the shadows, Kairi. [But still, there was that old, teasing smirk crossing his lips. For now he could slip so easily into his older personality, let himself be him and drop his guard only slightly. ...Silly choice. Only Sora and Kairi could joke so lightly of something that still plagues him so.

But that confession--yes, definitely grateful for the longer bangs because whether the him now admitted his crush on her or not, hearing those four words preceeded by, "No matter what happens," meant more than he could ever say. Even more so that she... felt the same way about the both of them.

Well, that just made the old rivalries between him and Sora for Kairi's attention seem petty. He's silent for a moment, letting that all process as she speaks then hugs him around the neck. No matter ( ... )

I know. But you weren't in the dark, and shadows aren't exactly dark; shadows are attached to things so when the light hits down on them they appear. And when you disappeared into it...all we needed to do was to find something strong enough to bring you back. And our friendship did just that, didn't it? [Oh boys will be boys. You were only kids, didn't know. And it wasn't like you would think like that as kids anyway; it was more of something, pretty much like knights and a princess. Maybe. What does she know. Shes still hugging him, breathing out air and making the patch of his coat where her breath connects warm as she relaxes in his snug embrace.

But then...wait. It wasn't just...something clicks; a memory flickering in her mind. Black coats...wait a minute. She lifts her face from the coat, forehead still flush against it. Her voice is softer, as she tries to get her mind to focus on their names] I...I know Axel is here. I've seen him. I've seen...Demyx...but...who else arrived? You can tell me. I've been here long enough to ( ... )

Just the gray area. [He smirks into her hair, not even realizing how they still haven't let go of each other since Kairi opened the door. ...Door. 'Don't you dare lose to him, Sora-!' The memories kept coming in waves, sometimes little remnants of what he thought while lost in the darkness--no matter what Kairi said about the shadows, he knew he'd gone deeper than shadows and into the black. That shadow in his heart was proof enough of that.] ... Yeah, it did. Once I remembered the hard way.

[He's inwardly laughing at himself and his own foolishness, but those names mentioned bring out his old confusion. ...Demyx had treated him like a friend, and that in itself was weird.] Out of the Organization... there's also Zexion and Xemnas, and someone named Larxene has been here a while, I think. [-but that wasn't all. It takes him a while, especially with what Kairi just said. Those two names didn't ring any bells at all. Her pain, though... well, it earned a slight squeeze before he turned his head away from her.]... You won't be alone, ( ... )

At least it's not true darkness. [There. Last counter she's going to put up with him and his characteristic stubbornness. But she'd be there for him all the way and the light squeeze of her hug is his answer to his statements.

Xemnas. She remembered seeing him. And not too long after that she arrived here. The other two names she wasn't familiar with...but she nods into his coat again.] ...I know. You'll be here. We'll...protect each other. And anyone who needs it. Them first though. [She wants others to be safe too--what kind of person would she be if she cared for herself first?

Yes, Riku. She has a Keyblade. She can summon it if you want...she thinks. Unless you...wait. No. She smiles and shakes her wrist gently, the--technically three since she hooked the Destiny's Embraces' keyblade charm to her own wayfinder--two charms jingling gently.] Some...time.
