Door County, Chicago, and New York City - Oh My!

So this random entry has been spurred by reading Laura and Sally and Biscuit God's post all about MITY. And, I guess, it's so hard to contemplate that MITY will never be again for another year. Jesus. Sometimes I feel like MITY saves my soul and I wake up from time to time just wishing with all my heart that I could stride into 06 and sit down

jk, jk. MITY is fun though isn't it? I'm such a nerd, but I'm so loyal to those two weeks that I actually forfeited a trip to Spain because I couldn't stand the thought of a not-MITY-fine summer ^^;

I'm so depressed that next year is my last for MITY. How does one live without MITY-fine summers?

Yes, I suppose that is the way with MITY. Enjoy the MITY-fine times for the two weeks, and then just hold on like hell to the friends you make. So, in that sense, I doubt any of us are truly ever finished with MITY. (wow, maren just waxed philisophical.)

Hey! There ain't nothin' wrong with Wisconsin. My home state! I do agree that Door County is AWESOME. Did you go to Pennisula State Park? Fish Creek? Egg Harbor? *sigh* Sometimes it sucks living in Tennessee when it comes to my Wisconsin stuff.

Hey AB!

Door County is my FAVORITE place on earth. My family has lived in Ephraim (which is about 20 minutes from Fish Creek) for generations (they have made my great-grandaddy's cabin a museum). Because the person who normally lives there was on a trip we got to stay in our family homestead that was built in the 1930s instead of Pennisula State Park, where we usually camp.

Have you ever been to a fish boil? Wisonsin is really a nice; everybody is so nice and friendly that you miss it once you leave the Midwest.
