Well, I hope there's a mom in there somewhere

Really, it's wonderful the way my mom talks to me like a school conselor instead of a mom ( Read more... )

From what I can tell, you've had a past school year filled with challenging classes, spending time with friends, and participating in school activities. Sure, academics is important -- but so is taking a break, every once in a while. Otherwise we'd all crash and burn, and it wouldn't be a pretty sight at all.

Gosh, you're going to be a senior in high school :) I feel so old now, lol. Seriously, though, I hope your school year is fantastic and that the rest of your summer goes well. *hugs*!

Thanks so much sweetie for the pep up. I really needed it. :: hugs ::

Yeah, last year was kinda crazy, in terms of activities and academics. The worst part of having nine month education with little breaks is the stress that builds up - and I think there is so much more there than there was during our parents time in high school so they just don't get it.

I hope your summer is lovely! As well as your year!

"Something" would be terribly accurate. Lol. I wish my mom could be happy or at least proud about it - her confidence is always more tenative than that.Drivers training far outranks comfirmation in terms of boringness- and that is saying something. Yay! Am looking forward to driving!

I got mine at Emstroms. Where/when are you doing yours?

Just one more year and you will finally have some privacy in your life. My mom is the same way -- she didn't trust me to make my own choices. But then I went far, far away for college and she couldn't nag me anymore. Just keep telling yourself that this will soon be over, and keep taking whatever time you need to relax, you'll need it. :)

What is it about mothers and privacy? Usually my mother is awesome, but sometimes she just ... doesn't leave me space to breathe. I'm sure you understand what I mean. One year! Yayay!

Senior year looks very scary from this standpoint. But maybe it helps build a diving block of some kind. At least, I hope.

Thanks for the encouragement, Cathy!
