I can't believe you used charcoal, though, I'd be way too fucking scared to smudge everything to hell to even dare trying the medium! This is really well done :)

Yeah, that's always the danger with charcoal, but it's at least a little bit forgiving because you can erase it (to a point). I originally intended to do the whole thing in black ink, but once I drew the sketch, I chickened out and switched to charcoal (hence the gravely texture - it's watercolor paper, not charcoal paper).

Thanks! I always hoped to get into fanart as well, but I'm terrible at photoshop, the main medium of the best fanartists, and one drawing takes me at least 4 hours, so I never did. But - I felt inspired.
