check out www.chinesepod.com (or download the podcasts through itunes), trent (bf) finds it a really effective way to learn if you are more of an aural learning. i however, prefer to learn chinese through pin yin so i can visualise the word in my head and the tones.
how are you with your other languages? what are you fluent in?
fluent in french conversationally. spanish i'm about 50% but the grammar gets me. German i was basically fluent but i didn't bother in school.
i prefer the pin yin also. i like to differentiate each word. because they're basically all the same. haha. not really, but super similar. not all - but like 'yes' and 'ten' and 'four' haha. yeah. thanks for the podcast thing though.
