Kyuhyun POV
Sungmin-hyung?? What did Eunhyuk-hyung just said? Save Sungmin? From what? I couldn’t stop the question that keep coming inside of my head. I look at him who was hugging my lover tightly, what is their relationship? Why didn’t he tell me before?
I see Sungmin body trembling, his hand was clutching his own clothes tightly but Eunhyuk-hyung seems not to care about it. I move forward but Donghae-hyung stop me. Can’t he see that Sungmin was frightened? I look at Donghae-hyung but he just shake his head slowly. Sigh… I decide to follow what he want. But then, Sungmin was struggling to get free but Eunhyuk-hyung just tighten his hug. I couldn’t stay still anymore! I snatched Sungmin away from Eunhyuk-hyung embrace, make him look at me confusedly.
“Kyu?”
“Can’t you see that he was frightened?!” I yelled. Eunhyuk-hyung eyes widen before he lowered his gaze, “I’m sorry, hyung… but I… I’ll bring him outside” I walk out from that room, dragging Sungmin-hyung behind me. I was surprised when he try to get free from my hand. I look at him, he closed his eyes tightly, clutching on his shirt until his knuckles goes white.
I sit him on the near bench and kneeling in front of him, “Sungmin-ah…” I hold his hand tightly, oh God… it was so cold. I tighten my hold, trying to warm him. “Sungmin…” I bring my hand to his face and caress his cheeks. His eyes snapped open and back away from me. Sungmin-ah… why you…?
He look at his left and his right wildly, as if afraid that someone will find him. “Sungmin…” I tighten my hold, trying to make him to look at me but I failed. I try to caress his cheek again, but he slapped my hand. I don’t know what to do… Sungmin…
“Afraid…” he whispered.
“Sungmin…” I hold his hand and my other hand trying to caress his cheek once again.
He back away when he feel my hand on his cheek, he clutched at his shirt tightly until his knuckles goes white. “Afraid… afraid…” he whispered again and again. I couldn’t see him like this…
I pull his body into mine and hug him tightly. He keep struggling in my embrace, he hit my back rapidly but I don’t care… I just hug him tighter but then he push me away until I fall to the floor and run away. I quickly get up from the floor and run after him, “Sungmin!!!” I shouted, hoping that he would realize that it was me and stop running but he didn’t. he just run faster, “Sungmin-ah!!! It’s me! Kyuhyun!!!” I shouted back but it fail once again.
He run out of the hospital to the street. Oh shit!! Sungmin didn’t aware of what happen around his right now. I run faster than before, he was stop in the middle of the street and it make me frightened. What will he do?! I catch him and pull him to the side in time. Some car was pass so fast, “What did you do!!!” I shouted, looking at him in the eyes. His body was trembling so hard and he slid to the street, some sobs was come out from his mouth. I sit in front of him, bring his body into mine, hugging him tight. “I’m sorry… I didn’t mean to snap at you. I’m sorry…”
“I’m afraid…” he whispered.
“I’m right here, Minnie… I will protect you… no one going to hurt you…” I whispered back at him.
He hug me tightly, buried his face deeper on my chest, “I wanna go home, Kyu… I don’t want to be here anymore…” I nodded my head.
Slowly, I loosen my hold, afraid that he would freak out if I do it too fast. After seeing that he was okay with that, I crouch down in front of him, “Climb on my back” I tell him. He get to my back and hold onto mine tightly. I started to walk to the parking lot, to my car. A soft sobs still could be heard from him but I can’t do anything right now. Just wait a little more, Minnie-ah…
I sit him in the passenger seat and help him to use the seatbelt, after that I run to the driver seat and start the car but when I was about to drive, I hear a quiet whisper from my side “Kyu…” I look at him, he hold his hand tightly and he was shivering slightly. It make me worried. “Kyu… it’s cold…”
Cold? But it so hot in here. I lean to his side and put my hand on his forehead. He was burning up, “Sungminnie… we have go to the doctor, you have a fever…”
He shake his head slowly, “I wanna go home…” he whispered, tears started to fall from his eyes. I hold his head, make him to look at me and wipe his tears.
“Ne… we’ll go home…” I take my jacket from the back seat and cover him up, I turn on the heater slightly, yeah… even though I feel so hot but if it can make him feel better, it’s okay… “Is it warm now?” he nodded his head slowly. He clutched and the end of my shirt before he close his eyes. I look at the front, start to drive away from the hospital. I have to go home quickly!

Normal POV
Donghae sit on the edge of the bed, bring his hand to lift Eunhyuk face. He wipe the tears that fall from Eunhyuk eyes, “Kyuhyun didn’t mean that… you know about Sungmin condition, right?” Eunhyuk nodded his head, “So don’t cry…”
“But… I just miss him so much, Hae…” he hold Donghae hand and look at him in the eyes.
“I know… but you have to understand… you have to hold yourself… you know that we need time to make him to trust us years ago…” again, he just nodded his head. Donghae smile and ruffled his hair, “We’ll go to his house after you are healthy”
“Eunhyuk-ah…” Eunhyuk look up and see his aunt standing not too far away from his bed, she look so shock but happy at the same time.
“Auntie…” he smile happily, “Sungmin-hyung is still alive, auntie…” she cover her mouth, tears falling from her eyes. Eunhyuk mother hug her, rubbing her back. She couldn’t stop her own tears but she smile at the same time.
“My baby is still alive, Saeri-ah…” she said, hugging her tight, “My Sungmin… my Sungmin is still alive… Dongwoo… Dongwoo need to know about this. He need to know that our baby is still alive” she let go of her and walk out of the room, taking out her cell phone.
“I-I’ll leave you two alone. I need to accompany her… you know your auntie right, Hyuk?” Eunhyuk nodded his head, she hug him and kiss on top of his head, “I’m glad that you are awake, son…”
“Ne umma…”
She look at Donghae, “Please take care of him while I’m away, Donghae-ah…”
“No need to worry auntie… I’ll take care of him for the rest of my life” she laughed softly before leaving the room while Eunhyuk just lowered his gaze, embarrassed.
“You don’t need to say something like that to my mother, Donghae-ah… it’s embarrassing…” Eunhyuk said, still couldn’t look at Donghae eyes.
“Why? It’s true, Hyukkie… I’ll take care of you for the rest of my life. Nothing to be embarrassed about, right?” he caress Eunhyuk hair lovingly, “Ne… Hyukkie… I need to ask you something…”
“What is it, Hae?”
“Who stabbed you? Do you know them?” Eunhyuk lowered his gaze, Donghae lift his head and look at him in the eyes, “Did you remember them?” slowly Eunhyuk nodded his head, “Who?”
“I-I’ll tell you when my parents are here. There is something I need to tell them” Donghae smile at him. He understand that Eunhyuk parents need to know about who is hurting him too, they are his parents after all.
An hour later, Eunhyuk parents come with his aunt and uncle, his aunt quickly stand beside him as if asking him to tell everyone about the news that he said to her earlier. Eunhyuk look at her before a wide smile come to his face, “Auntie… uncle…” he look at the both of them, one by one. “I know you really wait for this… but there is something I need to tell you all” his face become so serious.
“What is it, dear?”
“I want to tell you that grandpa was murdered”
“The police already tell us about it, Eunhyuk-ah…”
Eunhyuk look at his father, asking for him to continue his stories. His father muttered an apologize before smile at him, “And the one who hurt me that time was one of them” he can hear her mother gasp and Donghae hold his hand tighter, “He was the one who bring me to that cell. Who separate me from Minnie-hyung…” he look at Donghae in the eyes, tightening his hold onto him, “It was our professor Hae… now I know why Sungmin-hyung reacted that way… maybe that man make him remember of what happen back then”
Donghae bit his lips, preventing him to let out some curses in front of Eunhyuk family, “I tell you that it was him, right?” he stated, “And you tell me not to judge him like that” he growled.
“I know Hae… I’m sorry…”
“It’s okay…” he caress Eunhyuk cheeks, smiling widely. “I’ll tell Kyuhyun about this, ne?” Eunhyuk nodded his head, “I’ll go for a while” he get up from his seat, leaning his body slightly to kiss Eunhyuk forehead. “I’ll take my leave” he bow his body and was about to go out of the room when someone call him.
“Donghae-ah”
“Ne?”
“Can we go with you?” it was Eunhyuk aunt, “We want to see Sungmin” Donghae nodded his head and they leaving Eunhyuk room.
Eunhyuk father sit on the edge of Eunhyuk bed, he look at his son who was looking back at him, “Should we hire a bodyguard for you, son? I don’t want something like this to be happen again. Someone out there was looking for you and try to hurt you”
“It’s okay, appa… I have Donghae with me. He’ll be protecting me from those men” his cheeks reddened but there was a small smile on his face.
“But Hyukkie-ah…” her mother sit beside him, holding his hand onto her, “It’s not that we are not trusting Donghae to protect you, we are worried about you… we don’t want something bad happen to you again”
Eunhyuk hold his parents hand tightly, looking at the both of them in the eyes, “I trust him, umma… appa… he wouldn’t let someone hurt me again”

Kyuhyun POV
I look at the sleeping Sungmin on my bed; he was bundled inside of a pile of blanket. He said that he was so cold, but his temperature was high and it make me worried. He didn’t let me to take him to the doctor… what should I do now…?
I change the washcloth from his forehead, hoping that it will help to turn down his temperature. “Minnie-ah…” I caress his hair lovingly, carefully not to wake him up. “How could you be like this again” I hold his hand, kiss it deeply. I’m sorry Minnie-ah… I’m sorry… I failed… I failed to protect you… I’m a bad boyfriend. I couldn’t keep you save… I’m sorry… I make you like this, I’m sorry…
“Kyu…” I look at his face, his eyelids was half closed, signaling that he was still tired.
“Minnie…”
“Kyunie… why did you cry?” I bring my hands to my cheeks and I realize that it was wet. I wipe it quickly and smiling widely at him.
“I’m not crying Minnie-ah… it was just too hot in here” I tighten my hold on his hand; my other hands caress his hair, “Why did you wake up Minnie? You need to rest or do you feel cold?”
He nodded his head slowly, “It just a little…” I get up and search for a spare blanket on my closet but I find none. He already use all of my blanket. I was about to get out of my room when I hear him call me, “Don’t leave me…” he whispered.
I smile slightly, approaching him. I sit on the bed, cover him up more tightly, “Is it still cold?” he look unsure but then shake his head. I know he was lying; his hand on mine was still cold. I slid to his side and pull him to my body, hug him tightly, “Warm?” I could feel him nodded on my shoulder. “Sleep, baby… I’ll be here”
“Kyunie should sleep too” come a quiet whisper from him, he tighten his hold and rub my chest, “I’ll sleep if you sleep too”
“Ne Minnie… I’ll sleep” I close my eyes, trying to go to sleep. I can feel he nuzzled further on my chest and after a while, I feel his breath softened, signaling that he was fall asleep. I open my eyes, shifting my body to get more comfortable to sleep. He look so peaceful yet fragile at the same time… I don’t want to see him frightened like that again… I don’t want to see him hurting… should I bring him to a psychiatrist? But what if he didn’t want to? But I just want to help him… just being with me and my family will not help at all. He need to go out. To see our friend… but… what if it was just bring him pain just like what happened earlier? Sigh… Minnie-ah… what should I do?
There was a knock on the door before it opened, revealing my mother with a doctor behind her. “Let him get checked” she said. I try to shift my body but Sungmin just hold me tighter.
“Is it okay if I stay here? He wouldn’t let me go”
The doctor nodded his head and begin to check onto him. He move him slightly, carefully not to wake him up. He begin to check on his temperature, his pulse and everything. After everything was done, he pack his things, “He has a high fever. It’s better for him to stay at hospital for a while, to make sure that nothing happen to him”
“He don’t want to” the doctor look at me confusedly, “I already tell him that before we got home but he freak out and said that he didn’t want to”
“I see” he take out a piece of paper, writing on it and handed it to my mother, “This is the medicine. I let him to stay here but you have to stay with him, in case that something happen” I would do that even if he didn’t ask me to, “Drink it 3 times a day after meal until his fever get down” I nodded my head. “If there nothing more, I’ll take my leave” he bow his head before walking out of my room. My mother rub my arms and follow him. Sungmin-ah… I hope you get better, baby… I don’t want to see you like this.
I look at the ceiling; I don’t know what to do. I can’t go to sleep because I’m not sleepy. I couldn’t play my game, Sungmin wouldn’t let me go. Sigh… Minnie baby… I move my body slightly when I hear my phone ringed. I take it from the night stand, it was Donghae-hyung.
I’ll go to your house. There’s something important that I need to tell you
Something important? What is it? Sigh… this month was full of surprised… and I need to know more? But… I hope that it was something good; I don’t want to hear something bad happened again. I look at my side, seeing his sleeping face make me want to protect him more. I don’t want him to experience the bad things even more. I want to protect him from everything that could make him sad and cry. But I failed… the last time I promise him this, I failed him. I couldn’t prevent him from freaking out and crying. Sungmin-ah… what should I do…? I… I want to protect you…
Normal POV
Donghae park his car in front of the Cho family house he get out of his car, followed by the other two behind him. He smile at them, “He live in here. I hope he was home right now” they go to the front door and ring the bell.
A few minutes later, the door was opened by Kyuhyun mother, “Ah… Donghae-ah… you want to meet Kyuhyun?”
“Ne auntie… is he home?”
“Ne… but he with Sungmin now” Kyuhyun mother look at the two people behind Donghae, she smile before bow her body slightly, “Sorry for not introducing myself, I’m Kyuhyun mother”
They bow back, smile at her, “I’m Haerim and this is Dongwoo…” she pointed to the man beside her, “…my husband. We’re Eunhyuk aunt and uncle”
Kyuhyun mother happy face turn into a worried one, “I’m sorry to know that he was in the hospital now and I’m sorry I couldn’t visit him. I hope he is okay”
“He is okay though. The doctor said that he can check out in 2 more days”
“Ah! Sorry…” she step aside, asking them to come inside with her. She let them to sit on the living room and sit there with them, “Donghae-ah… you want to go to Kyuhyun room or I call him for you?”
Donghae look at Haerim, she nodded her head, “I stay here auntie… there’s something we need to tell him” she nodded her head and leaving them to call for her son.
Haerim look around the room, where some photos was hanging on the wall. She smile slightly when she found Sungmin picture was there too. Her smile turn into a sad one when she saw Sungmin and Kyuhyun graduation photo, ‘I couldn’t be with him when he was graduate from high school’ she thought sadly. She look at the other photo, it was a family photo. The Cho family was there along with Sungmin. Sungmin was standing in the middle, Kyuhyun was on his left and Ahra on his right, Mr. and Mrs. Cho was sitting in front of them, they were smiling happily like they was a real family.
“Donghae-hyung” she turn around, Kyuhyun was there with his mother behind him but Sungmin wasn’t with him, she walk closer to them and sit beside his husband, “What happened?” Kyuhyun look at them confusedly, he sit beside Donghae.
“Ah… nothing…” Donghae shuttered looking at everything but Kyuhyun.
It makes, Kyuhyun more confused, ‘He wouldn’t be like that if there is nothing wrong, right? Beside he say that there was something important that he need to tell me’. “Hyung… you said that there was something important that you need to tell me”
“How should I say this?” he ruffled the back of his hair, relieve his frustration, “Kyu… you know that Eunhyuk was stabbed, right?” Kyuhyun nodded his head confusedly, “He tell me who stab him”
“Who?”
“Do you remember when Sungmin gone 2 days ago?” again Kyuhyun nodded his head, don’t understand what he was trying to explain to him, “There was a new professor in our class and he make him freak out. Eunhyuk said that the same professor was the one who stab him yesterday. And that person was the one who kidnap him when he was still a kid”
Kyuhyun still confused. Yes, he was so mad but he is more confused. ‘Why Donghae-hyung bring Sungmin case into this? Yeah, I know, maybe Sungmin was traumatized but it couldn’t be that professor, right? He was like this when we are still on high school and I can make sure that the professor wasn’t there. So why? Why did he bring Sungmin case into this?’
Seeing Kyuhyun confused look, Donghae explained more, “You know that Eunhyuk cousin was died years ago, right?” again Kyuhyun just nodded his head, “Sungmin is Eunhyuk cousin”
“Wh-How?” Kyuhyun look at Donghae closely, don’t believe what he just hear before.
“I think this accident become a trigger for Eunhyuk memory to resurface. You see how tight he hug Sungmin when he woke up, right? And he call him Sungmin-hyung not Sungmin like he used to. Eunhyuk said that the professor was there too when their grandfather was murdered and he was there when they kidnapped them”
“You mean that maybe he was the one who--“ Donghae nodded his head, “That bastard!!” he sit up from his seat quickly but his mother grab him, “Umma!”
“Kyu… you need to calm yourself. Everything wouldn’t turn out right if you are not calm” she tug him, make him to sit beside her, “Calm yourself…” she rub his chest slowly, trying to calm him, “…and we will find a way to solve this”
“But he was the one who make Sungmin like this umma. I couldn’t stay still. I need to give him some lesson”
“Cho Kyuhyun! Listen to your mother! I know what you feel… Sungmin is my son too. I know you don’t want him to be like this, I know but we need to keep calm… for him…”
“Kyunie…” a soft whimper from the other room make them stop suddenly, “Kyunie where are you…?” Sungmin walk into the living room, with a blanket covering his body. His hair was messy and his eyes were red and teary, “Kyunie…?” he stop in doorway, a small smile plastered on his face when he see Kyuhyun was there.
Kyuhyun mother caress Kyuhyun knees and nodded her head. Kyuhyun look at Sungmin, a wide smile was there but everyone know that it was forced. “Why are you here, Minnie?” he get up from his seat, approaching him. He combed Sungmin hair and wipe the tears, “You should be on your bed, resting”
“You weren’t there…” he whispers softly, “I… I’m scared…”
He put some strands away from Sungmin eyes, holding his head lightly, “I will not going anywhere, Minnie-ah” he caress his cheeks lovingly. Sungmin close his eyes, enjoying the gentle touch from his lover, “Is it still cold?”
“A little”
Kyuhyun touch his forehead, feeling his temperature. He smile slightly when he feel that the fever was get down slightly, well even it was still high but there was some good progression, right? He encircle his hand on Sungmin shoulder, pull him closer to his own body, “Let’s get back to our room. Doctor said that you need bed rest, so the fever will get down quickly” and they walk away from the living room.
Donghae look at Kyuhyun mother closely, “Sungmin had a fever?”
“Yes. When Kyuhyun bring him earlier after they get back from the hospital, he has a really high fever. Kyuhyun told me everything and I tell it to the doctor after he finish to check on him and he think that maybe he was under pressure so his body react that way”
“Umm auntie… about earlier… they want to meet Sungmin. How should I say this…” he look at them both back and forth, they nodded their head as if asking him to continue, “They are Sungmin parents” he can see that her eyes widen slightly but then she can see her smile and it make him feel relieved.

“Kyunie… who are they?” Sungmin was leaning on the headboard. A blanket was covering his body. Kyuhyun sit in front of him. A bowl of porridge was on his hand and spoon was on his other.
“It was Donghae-hyung, Minnie” he said; take a spoonful of porridge and start to feeding him.
Sungmin shallow the porridge slowly, afraid that he will chocked if he shallow it quickly, “I know it was Donghae, Kyu… I don’t have amnesia… but the two people who was with him. I know that it wasn’t his parents”
“Yes it wasn’t. They are Eunhyuk-hyung aunt and uncle. Maybe they are from hospital and when Donghae-hyung leave the hospital, they decide to go with him, hm?” Sungmin face crunched up, thinking hard before nodded his head slowly, “We meet his aunt when we are on the hospital earlier. You didn’t see her?” Sungmin shake his head slowly.
“I don’t think that she was there when we are in Eunhyuk room earlier”
“Of course you don’t know. You are hiding on my back when we are there”
Hearing this, Sungmin pouted his lips slightly, “I just don’t feel comfortable when a lot of people around me” he whispered.
Kyuhyun could feel guilt crawling on his chest, he understand why Sungmin was like that but he want Sungmin to be like the old Sungmin, ‘It need some time Kyu… you have to understand that’ he thought, “I’m sorry… I didn’t mean that”
“It’s okay…” he whispers, “Kyu…”
“Hm?”
“Can we see bunny? Eunhyuk video on the other day make me want to see them”
“Bunny?” Sungmin nodded his head excitedly, “Okay… we’ll see them after you are healthy, okay? You want to go with the other too? I think everyone would like to go out together. It’s been a long time since we hang out together; they always have a busy schedule”
“Ne… I-I’ll try” he shuttered but Kyuhyun can feel that he was so sure about this.
“You know that I always have a faith on you, right Minnie? I know you strong, you get over this before and I believe that you can do it again now”
“It was because of your help, Kyu. Your presence make me safe, I know that everyone wouldn’t hurt me too but I-I still afraid… maybe with your help I can get over this again”
“I’ll help you every time you need me Minnie…”
Sungmin lean forward, he encircle his hand on Kyuhyun waist and buried his face on the crook of Kyuhyun shoulder, inhaling the scent that always make him calm, make him feel safe, “Thank you, Kyu…”
Knock Knock Knock
“Kyu… it’s umma…” the door opened, Kyuhyun mother come into his room with the other three follow her from behind, “How was your fever, Minnie-ah?”
“I-It’s better umma…” Sungmin buried his face deeper when he see two stranger was there too, in Kyuhyun room.
Knowing Sungmin reaction, Kyuhyun tighten his hold, reassuring him that everything would be okay. “Minnie-ah… you are strong…” he whispered on Sungmin ear. Sungmin nodded his head, pull away slightly but keep his body to lean on Kyuhyun chest.
“Did you eat the porridge?”
“Ne umma. It’s good”
She laughed softly, “Now it’s time for the medicine…” she walk to the night stand and give him 2 pills and a glass of water. Sungmin take it and drink it quickly but carefully not the get chocked, “Sungmin-ah…” she said after placing the glass back to the night stand, “There is someone I need to introduce to you” she tell them to move closer and stand behind her.
Sungmin look at them closely, he clutched on Kyuhyun shirt tightly. Haerim kneeling in front of him, taking his hand on her slowly, Sungmin pull away at first but Kyuhyun rub his arms, telling him that it was okay. After seeing that Sungmin was calm enough, she hold his hands again, looking at him in the eyes, “Sungmin-ah…” her eyes was teary. Knowing that her son was still alive she can hold him again make her really happy, “This is umma, Sungmin-ah… I’m your mother”

well at least i can continue to write before my exam is comming 2 weeks later, hehehe
