If she didn't cook for Sousuke, the dumb boy would eat nothing but army rations and would eventually waste away to nothing. Clearly that's the only reason Kaname was paying him this visit. No ulterior motives at all, her.
"Mao sent me some clothes. I mentioned not blending in very well, and apparently, these are supposed to be more suitable for young men in America." He stepped back to let her in the room.
"The shirts seem acceptable, but I'm not sure about the rest. She may not have had the correct measurements."
Good enough. Kaname stopped short of actually hitting him and did an almost frightening change of face. "Besides," she added, almost slyly, "Homemade lunches are traditional. That's what girls do for their boyfriends. Don't you know anything?"
This was a surprisingly effective way of getting her to cease before it became full scale attack, as she stopped giggling and merely blinked at him. "Oh?"
He went over to the bag he kept most of his belongings in, and returned with a bag from the aquarium they'd visited, and handed it to her. He'd forgotten to give it to her in the chaos following Conner's accident. There was a rather cute stuffed penguin inside.
"Oh." He paused. "If it's all right with your teacher, I should be able to." It was true that he didn't have anything else he was doing, and it wasn't as if he had to be forced into spending more time with her.

A pause as something occurred to her. "Are you doing anything tomorrow afternoon?"

She'd also like to badger him into a yukata. Even if it did turn out to be camouflage. Sigh.
