 So, some of you may be aware that I avoided having a credit card for the first 31 years of my life.  I finally succumbed a few years ago and switched all my monthly recurring bills (except rent) to use it

Many times those letter go out automatically even if they have the new card on file. Verizon did that to me three times earlier this year. Call up double check to see if they have the right card on file. Comcast sucks at updating their files. Like suck so bad I think that there is a late fee conspiracy with Comcast.
