Oh, that'd be LOVELY, thank you! I'd love to see you write something like this with them together. You have really interesting thoughts about how their relationship just works (and how weird it must've been for RJ to take up with the three quite different kids).

Ooh, I'd love to see them have to work their way out of some sort of problem or misunderstanding, especially since neither one is exactly rational and logical in conventional ways. ::grins:: I know that's really vague, mind you.

"A Taste of Poison" never really deal with Casey. I mean, we were told he'd be in pain, but the episode glossed over that.

Okay, I didn't notice this until I watched the episode specifically to write about it, but there was a lot missing in it, wasn't there? o.O Where *was* RJ that whole show? Did his actor have that week off? He had three lines there in the middle (ps, was he sitting *under* Casey's hammock that night or what? ::laughs:: So adorable!) and I was totally confused why the minute-long CGI bike scene was more important than... well, basically anything else that could have been on the screen, including RJ's reaction to it anything that happened other than Theo making fun of Casey ^_

She heard a click, the dial tone going dead as RJ put his hand over the phone. “I'm having a crisis of faith,” he said quietly. “It will pass.”

She didn't move, the receiver still pressed against her ear. “Just because you stop thinking about something doesn't mean it's gone.”

“Just because you talk about something doesn't mean it makes sense,” he murmured.

Wow! With this fic you have officially made it impossible for me to ever write fic for lelola again! Just kidding lelola! XD

Ok. In all seriousness now: I really, really enjoyed this!

I love how human (with all the fallibility and emotional tangles that come as part of that package) you've made RJ in this fic! He feels that having let his "fledglings" out of the "nest" (or wolfpups out of the den, if we're going for a wolf metaphor) and having one of them come to harm, he's let them down - that he's failed them. I like that it's Lily who sets him straight, reminding him how integral he is to their team. ♥

*pounces* cos I can lol. Also this is wonderful, showing us a new side of RJ. I love Lily's persistance, she's clearly experienced with men who avoid talking about things. She's the sunlight in the darkness, drawing them into the light again, or so I like to think. A truly lovely fic with RJ realising he really isn't alone. Yay for Lily reminding him of all that he's done and doing for them. Wonderful stuff :)

Tacklehugs! ::laughs:: I can too! You're awesome! Lily is absolutely their light to me ♥ It's so great that with her around we can see everyone else's playful side, but I really think that she brings it out, makes it okay for them to show it--without her I feel like their interactions with each other would be so different.

Oh, RJ... no one can be that confident ::loves:: I was so charmed as the season went on and we saw his moments of doubt more clearly. I'm glad he let them be there for him some of the time, even if his first reaction to weakness seemed to be to hide. Thank you so much xoxo
