Today was the Children's Rehab party hosted at the children's hospital by the RCMP. Red Cross sent along a few volunteers to give out Teddy Bears to go with the regular presents. That is so true.......See this is why I don't work ER...I couldn't handle having to work on sick kids...I know someone has to do it...But I am not that someone......
Although we did get a 14 day old in the unit the other night that was having apnea....she was beautiful.....she got to go home the next day...
What you guys did for those kids was wonderful....Thank You!

((hugs)) It's always hard to see the children like that, and I feel the same way whenever I visit some of my nurse friends in oncology. But if I can make just one kid smile just by saying hello, and waving, it makes me feel good.

But it also humbles me because sometimes I feel guilty for being able to go home to see my healthy neice and nephew, while those children are there.

Glad that day went well, and I think it's great that the hospital does things like that. :)
