Patriotism in America

Today I was riding my bike on Mass Ave, and I saw this guy crossing the street on crutches. I stopped my bike in the middle of the road to block traffic so he could cross. The soldiers are not the war, nor is the war the soldiers. You can support one without the other. You can support protecting the lives of humans without supporting the job that they do. You can support people being screwed by the system, and in effect, that helps fight the system even in miniscule ways such as that.

Your heart is in the right place and obviously you are a compassionate person. Of course the "patriotic" asshole in the car was in a big hurry!

Funny how we never see this war on TV or the dead being returned home. This administration wants us all to feel like there isn't even a war! All the while Halaburton is over there making the top 1% richer.

I've always considered myself patriotic, since I was young, but trust me when I say... BUSH BETTER GET THOSE TROOPS HOME SOON!!!
