Monologues

Well I'm beginning to actually like my monologues...I'm doing a Shakepeare monologue! They don't want people to do Shakespeare unless they are actually good at it so I guess Thrus. I'll find out whether or not I'm "good enough" to do it at Nationals...if not I have to choose another monologue. I'm starting to get excited about Nationals, I can't ( Read more... )

Which monologue are you doing? I loved the Shakespeare class i took at ITS last year, and I've really wanted to do a monologue, but i can't find any [humorous] ones that portain to females :(

It's a Helena monologue...right after Lysander and Hermia leave to the woods and she decides to tell Demetrius.

I think I did that one! Is it "How happy some o'er other some can be?" 'cause I used that for Production III audition! Break a leg!

I found some awesome monologues when I searched google. The one I picked to practice for the summer is one called, "Delinquent". It's great. A 40 year old mom is ranting about how horrible her teenage daughter is, and how much better she was as a kid. It's hilarious. I could use your help for critique, Nadia, when I get it all learned and what not! ;)

I am glad to hear you are having a good time. I think you will be able to do the monologue very well. I remember when you and Kim would read before school.
