Goodluck with the script. I wrote a script once, and it was pure crap. Of course yours won't be, you can actually write. :D

Cinderella Man pissed me off to a little-more-than-slight degree after doing a little research.

The whole need for an antagonist (aside from the Depression) must have put the writers in quite the pickle. So how did they fix it? By totally destroying Max Baer.

As you can read here, Baer was far from the monster he was portrayed as in the movie. Cocky? Sure. Killed some guys in the ring? Yeah. But it's not like he didn't cared. I don't think someone who cried himself to sleep and devoted all of his earnings to the family of the man he killed deserved to be portrayed as a total asshole in a movie, in the end just to make a buck. That's pretty fucking low, if you ask me.

As much as Braddock was supposedly a hero for the common man, so was Baer for the Jewish people.

Don't get me wrong; it was a good movie. But it was manipulative beyond any movie I've ever seen, and the slanderous liberties they took with historical figures makes me sick.

Yeah that's true for ALOT of movies..that's Hollywood, somebody has to be the "monster" or "villian" or "bad-guy". That's why I liked Kingdom Of Heaven so much...they showed both sides...both stories and you got to choose yourself. They could have easily made the muslims look like the "villians" but they didn't and I really respected and appreciated that. Yeah I hear what you're sayin' Brock!
