The discipline part is always the biggest problem with teaching. I've heard about it and talked about it with my mom for years. And that's really the big problem with teaching. You'll always have kids who don't want to be there or don't want to do things your way or just are going to make it hard and resist trying to do things your way. The biggest task for a teacher is figuring out how to deal with that. How to make it clear that they need to listen to what you're saying without coming off as someone they'll hate

what age group are the kids? i find myself dreading classes in which i a.) don't really have a set lesson plan ready or b.) have a badly established rapport with the class, so that even if i HAVE a plan they already view my class as a waste of time and a pushover.
what you are going through would be the same whether you went to school for education or not. welcome to being a first year teacher, even if you are just getting snapshots. message me and i'd be more than willing to help you with lesson planning techniques and classroom management pointers if you want to keep it up next semester : )
