Well it appears that the new smoking ordinance has claimed it's first victim, Pinkie Masters. This establishment has been around for years in Savannah and was famous, or infamous, as being a Democratic Party bastion. Candidates and elected officials always made it a point to stop there. It's a neighborhood bar. It's location in a mixed residential

That's sad. I wouldn't be surprised if more bars outside of City Market and River St go the way of the dodo. There just isn't any way for them to expand to accomodate for covered outside seating for smokers. I know I have no great urge to go downtown now. At least on southside the bar around the block has a covered smoking area

Well you now that old adage, it's the 5% that makes it bad for the 95. It's those folks don't care where they smoke or whose around them. It's those folks that see fit to toss their butts out the window or empty their ashtray in some parking lot where somebody else has to go out and clean up after them. Relax Drau, I'll keep the stun gun holstered when you smoke around me. The taser? Well. :)
