wrestling with God...

So I have put my beliefs in the supernatural on a TBA basis as I perused the texts of various 'experts' and read up on a lot of different religions, belief systems, etc. let's see I left the Christian church when I was about 16 or 17, so this has been going on for a full 7 to 8 years. I so hear you on this babe!! I consider myself an agnostic - that there is no way to know whether or not there is a god - but there are also ways to be spiritual without the idea of one true deity (I know you know this, but just food for thought). I really shouldn't be reading LJ at work...

If you don't mind me asking, what religions have you explored so far? Maybe you could try looking into Buddhism if you haven't already...unless you are specifically looking for a monotheistic religion, since there really isn't a God in Buddhism.
What I feel the problem is with Western religions (Christianity, and even Islam) is the obsessive guilt associated with everyday living, and an outward projection of inner problems (i.e. If I sin and then repent, then God will forgive me).
Buddhism stresses inner peace, mental strength, and harmony with nature in the individual. It teaches that in order to help others, you have to help yourself first.

Anyways...heard you might be coming back to work for Crocker?
