Lady!

Send them to skool and see if it works out. That skool has LOTS of monies and services. If it don't work out, regroup and make a new plan.

Your family has nothing but adaptability going on, you will all be FINE. Even if it does not turn out to be the perfect choice and you have to adapt!

Actually, I already decided not to...I change frequently that's just me. I'm going to home skool sat, sun and tues. nights. Next year they will go to Discovery. I just didn't like the feel and i'm going with my gut. Thanks for the input tho!

There's nothing like asking for opinions to make you figure out what you really want, huh. :) My son's father pays for private school, I wouldn't want him in public school either. We have friends that do unschooling, a whole nother ball of wax. They're anti-any-school, but I can't home school because of being single and working.

As a parent and a student teacher, I'd say it's ok to take a chance on the skool, but you might want to check it out first. Some skools are incredibly enlightened.. and some are still in the dark ages. I've gone from the dark to the light between last semester's student teaching and this one, and the difference can be huge. It has left me feeling sorry for the student teachers still stuck in the school I was in all fall... but really, really sorry for the poor kids who go there as students for their entire middle school experience.
