Happy Birthday to Me
I had a great birthday this year. It kind of makes up for the truly crappy one last year.
On Sat Feb 28th I went to a new salon called Trashy Roots. Highly recommended. I got a facial and dyed my hair burgundy. Something I've want to do for years. Then that night I, my sexy hair and Michael went to the Melting Pot for our Birthdevaleversary. Valentine's Day, My birthday and our Anniversary all fall within a 30 day period so we do small things on the day of and do a really big thing in the middle. I was quite lovely and I drink too much. The waiter kept refilling my glass! Did you know that there's such a thing as iced wine? It’s not a frozen drink. What they do is freeze the grape before making them into wine so it’s super sweet. I loved it.
Sunday Feb 29th Michael and I went to go see Fanboys. Totally panders to Star Wars fans but a whole lot of fun.
On my actual birthday which was Wed Mar 4th I got to have lunch with just me and my dad which was really nice. Later that evening Michael took me to Red Lobster.
On Thurs Mar 5th I had to get up early to go to couples therapy with Michael. Then I went back to Trashy Roots to wax and tint my eyebrows which look pretty nice but took some getting used to. I also found a little piece of hair that didn't get dyed so they redid the color for free. Michael and I had a "yay you didn't get fired " dinner. He'll have to tell you more about that.
Friday Mar 6th my mom and sister came into town and we went to Cheesecake Factory and to go see Confessions of a Shopaholic (which is only LOOSELY based on the book but still cute)
On Sat Mar 7th we went to dinner with my dad, stepmom and stepbrother which was nice but I hadn't been felling so hot. Still it’s always nice to get attention
Finally Michael, Andy and I went to Spike and Mike at the Alamo Drafthouse downtown yesterday which was suitably sick and twisted.
Went I came into work today I had a decorated desk, cards and strawberry cupcakes waiting. This coming Sunday Michael and I are going to see Spamalot and Jonathan Colton, both gifts for my birthday so it just keeps going.

Busy girl but it was so worth it. I'm really tired though.
I also need to get a new purse. I had to cut out the lining last night because it was all ripped up and I was losing things there. So if anyone has a place that has cute ones, please let me know.
