Hair Color

Does anyone on my friends list have experience with coloring hair with box hair color? I need to color my hair but I don't have the money to go to a salon. I'm scared of the box hair color though.

Can anyone help me color my hair?

I believe bramblekite is a wiz with the box color if not for herself, most def for others. :)

I use Loreal Feria and get good results. A box is $10. The main difference is that a salon job will be more lasting. But if you're simply touching up your roots, you can use just half of it at time. There's two parts (well technically 3 but the third is optional) to mix together, so before mixing you would divide both parts in half and combine one half of each to use. Then when you're done, discard the combined batch and pour the other halves back into the bottles for next time.

I've done it many many times. It's pretty easy and fool proof if you're doing it on virgin hair or going a shade darker over previously dyed hair.
The only time I've ever had awful results was when I was trying to take my dyed black hair back to blonde- should have had professional help for that one, and it took professionals to undo the mess I made of my hair!
