Recording

Feb 25, 2006 21:15

Today was fun. I woke up at 10:45 realizing I had to be at the studio at 11. So, I made a bowl of oatmeal and left about 11:15. Got to the studio about 11:30. And I took PIXERS!

Here is the sound board where all the magic happens

Fancy keyboards

Cool lights for something I don't know what does

My little area for recording

The Great Karl Michael Demer

Brandon the intern. He's awesome

One of the greatest men in the world, Steve

Bryan. Yeah, there's a lot of reading going on

Karl used the room this door is on for a storage room. So it was full of crap. Steve and some others cleaned it out. Funny stuff.

Me tooning

Me laying down tracks for "The War On Nepotism"

This thing makes the guitar do wonderful things

The arrival of our special guest, Micycle. He's that blurry in real life!

Happy Karl. I JUST MISSED taking a pic of him while he was doing a jig here.

Micycle making weird noises for "Mislead By Example"

hmmm...listening back

What do you think?

"Owen, What's your friend doing? This isn't a Fish Pudding song"

Turns out Micycle's guitar is having trouble staying in tune. Time to use Owen's

Listening back again. SOUNDS WONDERFUL!

And John laying down some keys.

So, I went out into the hall to go to the lavatory and saw all these decorations being put up for a rave in that building later that night. I saw a girl on a ladder hanging some of them and realized it was Heidi from work!

So I was like "What the hell!?!?!" and took a pic. She's raving as I type!

As I was driving home I was talking on the phone. Just as I got off the phone I saw out of the corner of my eye a girl holding up a sign to the window. It was a phone number. So I called it. I had a nice conversation with a couple of girls named Gwen and Stef. Feel free to call the number. I'm sure they wouldn't mind since they just gave it to me out of nowhere. 507-330-5137. But you didn't get it from me.
