I'm now 22 which now that I have experienced it, think that age really doesn't matter that much. I now believe that their may be an element of truth when people that are older than you try and tell you that they aren't old. I have usually laughed and said 'yes you are, You're (insert age here)!' Well if anyone did check out those images. The one that I experienced actually looked more like this on the bottom though it was red.

They are amazing things. If you feel like an interesting read or to see some cool auroras, search for aurora borealis or aurora australis. Very interesting and you might learn something.

I wish i could see something like that. Ive always wanted to go look at the northern lights. But we get them HERE?! WOOT! although of course there not called the 'northern lights' haha.

It must have been quite an experience.

my mind iz completey frozen. only just from seeing those images, i could only imagine how much more clearer and amazed your brain cells felt. you got to witness and see that? on your birthday? what a truly treuly great gift. mother nature can be quite wonderful sometimes, and earthly gift to you ;)
i hope i come across an experience like that at some point in my journey in this life.

Yeah it was amazing. I can still see it in my mind, though it was 5:30 in the morning and I had been partaking in a few celebratory ales! Yeah it was an amazing gift from Mother Earth's cosmic companion.

Happy belated birthday!! I've never seen anything like what you are describing, but it sounds magical. I love to be witness to natural events like that, to just stand there and realize how big and powerful the universe is and how small I am. It's both comforting and inspiring.

ps: 22 is where all the fun starts :-)
