I steal your burrito bitch!

The concert over the weekend was fun.  Replacing my tires was not.  Karma people, karma.

I found this on my parents computer.  It seems pretty decent but I have absolutely no clue as to what it is suppose to be about.  I guess I will just try to look it over and make something up.  It seems like a pretty decent introduction to something.

The night was filled with a terrible opulence. You could feel the power crackling in the air and you could almost sense the malice behind that power, waiting to reach out and turn the crackle into a mighty snap that would leave an impact for generations. If tonight was an omen for anything to come then it surely didn’t fare well on the young man walking through its unseen turbulent airs to a destination he would never reach. But the night is never what it seems and things of ill fortune may fall upon those who could turn them into a force of good without ever knowing it.

The sandy haired youth was not paying any attention to his surroundings, too lost in thought and in the contents of the parcel on his back to place his mind on the actual road in front of him. Whether this would save him or ruin him is entirely up in the air but either way when he bumped into someone equally as lost as him his fate was changed forever and in his simple predetermined destiny a couple of doors were knocked ajar, and this caused more doors to be pushed open in places and people that he could never fathom meeting or reaching.

Some say that destiny is unchangeable and you should be happy with your lot in life, I say they have never lived. Some believe that a stranger in the night brings ill omens, but who exactly are they being brought to?

Chapter 1: A meeting In The Night

Jason shrugged his package from one shoulder to the next, shifting his weight and leaning into the road, trekking forward without ever looking up. These back country roads knew him as well as he knew them and he didn’t bother looking up to take the turn that was coming up on the right. Just as well, as neither did the young lady running in the opposite direction. The only difference was that she was too busy looking back to think.

A collision was inevitable, and when you have no light except for the stars through the trees and your knocked back unexpectedly you simply react. And react is what Jason did, grabbing the young lady and dragging her down on top of him. Hers was a simple reaction as well, but Jason didn’t quite think he deserved the slap in the face, he helped her up and apologized didn’t he?

She just looked at him, tears forming in her eyes and ran off the way he had just came, back towards the old town. He didn’t have time to apologize, or be apologized to for that matter. But he etched her ashen features into his memory, a face torn by fear but still beautiful beyond compare.

He started to continue on his way but the moonlight reflected off of something on the ground, and as he bent over to pick it up he was once again the subject of collision and ran over.

This time however he was not greeted by sheer silence. A loud rush of air came out of him as he landed on his chest, the air knocked out of him. He was helped up by a large boarish man.

"Sorry about that lad, but I was chasing my daughter. She panicked after our horse threw us and ran off. You haven’t happened upon anyone by the by?"

Jason dusted himself off, his mother would never forgive him for coming in a mess. He started to reply but then looked up at the man and knew something wasn’t right. "Yeah she just bumped into me. Poor girl looked scared to death, she took off running that way," he pointed up the road, the opposite direction in which she went, " towards the old Ruger farm."

The stranger eyed him thoughtfully, "Thanks a million, I hope I catch up to her soon."

Without a word he took off, running at a smooth pace that didn’t fit a man of his size. Jason slid the small object into his pocket and continued down the road, too tired to think about what he had or the two strangers he bumped into. He was just tired and wanted a good bed to rest on before he went to work in the morning.
