I had two ferrets in my lifetime. The first I accidentally roasted in the hot sun. I washed the cage out, but I think it didn't have water in it or something, and the ferret died in the cage. I always have regretted it. It was so sad. I think it was a nicer ferret than the second one we got.
The second ferret I got was a bit nasty. It liked to bite everything. When loose, it would run and hide from you, and got good at diving under things when you got close to catching it, then it would like to sneak up and bite your feet. And ferrets, once they bite, they don't let go.
That ferret actually lived a long time. I kept better care of it, but eventually it got too old and I was force feeding it nasty medicine shit from a tube ten times a day just to keep it alive, and it of course died.
