I had to be there. I didn't care how much controversy it would make. I had to see him.
I'm not really used to being on this side yet, but I might as well make myself comfortable. So there I stood, along with millions of other fans, waving an uchiwa with his face on it. I'll be honest, I bought this to hide my face from all the cameras lurking around.
I had it all planned out; I've gotten a good seat. Well, not the front row, but close enough for him to see me.
---
"I really love Ryuutaro-kun!"
Inside the radioshow booth, during a live broadcast. He said those words. Normally, I would just shrug it off, but I wouldn't want him bragging about how he left me speechless while we were on air.
"The fact that you like me, I already knew that. Because I love you too."
"Let's get married then!"
---
The show's almost over, and he still hasn't noticed or waved at me. I'm getting impatient. He flew a kiss to like a hundred girls already, but not one wave or glance came my way.
I'm not jealous or anything. I just hoped he appriciated my effort of coming all the way here.
Takaki and my brother had just finished their little Bakaleya skit. More promotion for their drama, I guess.
"Ah! We're down to our last song! Is everyone still fired up?!"
Oh shoot. I think he saw me. Fuck. He saw me. Holding an uchiwa with his face on it. Maybe he didn't. I hope he didn't.
"We want to ask everyone to sing along with us, right Ta~ka~gi? ♪" With that, I am sure that he saw me. He knows I'm here.
"I'm sure you all know this song! Nemuru no Mori!"
And the music played, they started dancing. Everyone seemed to improved in my absence. I just wish I was with them when they improved.
"Wait, Chii! When will the 'forest' wake up exactly?"
"W-Well, I don't know exactly. Only seasons can tell." he replied looking my way.
I could've sworn he whispered "Good night, Ryuutaro." into the mic.
Maybe he did, maybe he didn't.
