I'm still on the fence about the Bleach spoilers, but...

Eh, I'm always on the fence regarding shounen, because they have thick traditions/cliches they will fall back to like 90% of the time, but doesn't mean it loses the shock factor entirely :)

FMA: Homunculus/Father creates some kind of super philosopher's stone by opening gates on the Sacrifices' bodies and it appears to absorb/kill the whole Amestris, showing every named character EVER dropping like flies, with only the Sacrifices remaining.

OP: Ace dies, Luffy cries
