on a day out with mother / gundam novel

I never understand retail therapy. When I have things weighing my mind, I feel like whatever I buy will just disappoint me in the long run. Or is it because I pay for my own goods and am not at all swimming in money?

On another note, found a link to a Gundam 00 novel 1 review, and this part is interesting:( Afterword... )

musings, gundam 00, rl

Unless they are food or books. If it's clothes then I know I'll be disappointed.

The 00 novels looks tempting *___*

Ah, books! Why didn't I think of that? See, that's why I shouldn't shop while in a slump.

Comments of people who have them also make it seem like a worthy purchase IMO.

I'm the same as you baby, shopping only makes me feel worse and guilty. @.@

and fuck yeah focus on Sergei...! :D Now that's interesting. Love for G00 has dropped so much from my bones but I'd still be happy to read about Sergei. :)

Yay! *lol what an uncommon similarity to be excited about* XP

I guess I'm just a completionist~ because there's still the movie left.

I might have to pick up the novels now (aka when I have money and I found out who else in my area read 00F...)

Looks interesting.

If you decide to, the 1st and 2nd books are out now.

Why 00F?

I've been collecting 00F, however there were two volumes of 00F volume 3 on the shelf at my bookstore... usually no one touches 00F in my area. Makes me kinda happy there are likely more 00 fans in my area. Just need to track them down.

Fon Spaak entertains me to no end... about the only reason I pick it up, that and Hixar.

I used to have a roommate who swears by retail therapy, and that it's not so much what she buys, but the feeling when she's shopping. But for me it's just being distracted all day while walking like a zombie through the isles.

The most fun I had shopping was when I was given an allowance for winter clothes before my company sends me to France for a project, but I was in a good mood in the first place ^^;

What I hate about retail is that I never find something I like. Any clothes or shoes I may like turn out to be full price. Not to mention the fact that I've never seen shopping as a pleasant/relaxing activity.

I heard the English 00 novels had some translation errors? I'm not sure if I want to buy them or buy the originals and hope that in a few years I'll be able to understand a quarter of what's written haha.

Also, I'm glad to see Mizushima and Kuroda consider them canon. I wonder what their stance on 00F, I, etc. is.
