yea.....our biomed is more......doublemajor in ME and Bio. There's your biomed degree.

is that a lot of work? (compared to what you get out of it?)

errr......well......first off......it's NOT a biomed degree. It probably has what you need though since a lot of biomed is ME but tailored to human physiology and shit that has a heartbeat.

second....it'd be a shit load of work, expect to graduate a year late because there are very little shared classes between ME and Bio.

Third, what you get out of it is a lot. Where a biomedical degree is really focused, you can get a job with either degree depending on the jobmarket sway.

Technically if you did like.......EE, ME, CE, or Physics with Bio, it would be sorta similar to Biomed....maybe.....it just depends on what area you want to focus on in the human Body. ME for prosthetics and machinery, EE for say PETscans or EKG design, CE for...medicines? Physics for anything else.

if ur gonna transfer, might as well go to UVA for a cheap 1st year
if ur gonna stay at one place and u like Penn state's program better, go there but it's gonna cost ya

not to be a UVA basher but speaking from a financial standpoint,
go to tech for a first year because it's the cheapest instate school of all VA.....cept for maybe NOVA.

Go into the ME program, take your diffeq and multivar, physics, statics, dynamics classes or what not cuz you'll need those no matter where you go.

or if you're undecieded and don't feel like spending money until you find a good ME program. Just take your basic classes at nova for 1 semester. If you get a 4.0 here i believe many college will love it.

the classes are harder there arent they?
UVA engineering is less hard-core, so chances are better GPA? who knows, i dunno :P

volleyball knee pads as elbo pads..
i guess it's a good buy; you do spend a lot of time on your knees and elbows..
and after you get the hat,
can i call you something like.. pinstripe or checker?
or kenstripe?
or fag?

i havent heard from cmu yet, which freaks me out..gahh

engineering at tech is ranked a lot higher than uva, isn't it? it seems really tough to get in.

well, a lot of people were waitlisted/rejected at UVA this year, too--so congratulations for getting in! :)
