I need to go back and re-read this arc because I am a bit confused about where all this is happening -- I thought Isane and Yachiru had secretly infiltrated this place but since all those chuckleheads are outside yelling their asses off, doesn't that mean it's Soul Society (with the Sternritter hangout superimposed through magic bullshit handwave technology)
INDEED THAT IS VERY CURIOUS THAT THEY COULD NOT SENSE HIS REIATSU
some mangastream commenters think that it means Ken-chan isn't really there; he materialised via Yachiru's imagination (or, alternatively, he materialised via Guremi's imagination because he knows a lot more about his opponent than he's been revealed to know)
I'm going to go with "Ken-chan has learned to suppress his reiatsu rly gud" though because the above explanation requires WAY too much inside knowledge on either Yachiru's or Guremi's part (and also Isane needs to be involved somehow, it's too complicated and I am an Occam's razor fan)
(Kubo, however, is not always an Occam's razor fan, so I'm curious to see what happens)
