No, no it's not easy. And in my considerable experience it never works. As far as I can tell the best possible reaction is to say "Well, there's not really anything I can do about this, so fuck it. I'm going bowling." or something like that. Basically my advice to you is learn to live with disappointment and frustration. As far as I can tell all that power of positive thinking crap is a bunch of bull. Putting on a smile that you dont mean just makes you feel worse, at least it does me. Maybe I'm rather cynical about all this, but I'm pretty sure that when cynicism is tied to a lifetime worth of experience it's called realism.
