♘ 8 : Video
[The Dreamberry flicks on after having been tossed atop the table. Landing on its side somewhat askew against the spring floral arrangement, it reveals a growing cloud of smoke over the stove, followed by a swearing Sephiroth as he reaches for the oven door with his bare hand, jerking back with a yelp - that's hot, by the way!
He quickly rummages for a dishcloth and manages to get the by-now charred and smoking pan out of the oven, coughing at the acrid reek. Dumping the mess in the sink, Sephiroth flicks on the overhead fan, muttering to himself irritably. After kicking the oven door closed with a foot, he runs cold water over the pan, sending more steam into the room, but hey, at least the fire's out, right?
Waving the dishcloth to clear a bit of the white cloud, he frowns and bellows into the other room.]
Zack!
[No answer. Naturally. A bit piqued, Sephiroth finds and reaches for the discarded Dreamberry, the video filling with his stoic but cynical countenance. He cocks an eyebrow and, despite the near disaster in his immaculate kitchen, manages to speak in a reasonable, civil and calm tone.]
Zack Fair. I do believe you have been a bit...lax in your duties, SOLDIER. I highly suggest you report back to quarters...ASAP.
[Anyone who'd ever served under or known Sephiroth for any length of time would have recognized that tone. Especially one overly hyperactive brat from the village of Gongaga.]
