Okay, I got the $29.99 deal like airor requested (finally found the post). There's some kind of shipping & handling fee that we have to pay, which is $12.95. Installation will occur on 5/25. So next Wednesday, yay!
I have a DSL Modem we can use. We won't need to rent one from them. Sorry about not mentioning it earlier. I'll give the specs to you tonight to see if everything will work.
Joel and I were having lunch together when I was signing up for it, and he mentioned that you had a modem. So I didn't pick anything on the screen where they wanted me to pick what kind of modem I wanted, and they wouldn't let me not pick anything. They also didn't have a place on that screen where you could say, "I already have one."
So I don't really understand exactly what they're trying to do other than get another $12.95 out of us. Maybe they're having a hard time making ends meet...
...nah...they're just greedy bastards. But at least we'll have DSL!
