I am at a loss as to how to arrange the living room. I couldn't stand the utter chaos anymore yesterday, so I just arranged it so it had some kind of structure

1) I'd like to be able to sew inside the house, as opposed to in the garage. Therefore, I'd like to have a corner of the living room to put my sewing table and machine. (I like to half-watch movies while sewing.) Any idea on how/where to put this kind of area?
I think its cool to have sewing going on in the common area. Makes me feel very...homey. Like I should go milk the cow and then churn the butter. One downside, it can be noisy. Failing that, I'd like to put it in our room. Regardless of where the sewing area is, I'd like to see it set up while in use and broken down and stored neatly when not.
2) Where will we have computers? Living room? Bedrooms?
I'd also like to have my machine in the common area, being that our room is filling up fast, and I dislike having excess machinery in the place where I sleep. Once again, bedroom is good alternate and garage is doable. I didn't realize how dirty the box was because it was hidden under a table before. It'll definitely get a thorough cleaning before long.
Sewing: I can easily provide you with a TV for your room, but you'd have to have a player to watch movies in there. I agree that if the sewing stuff is left in the living room, that it gets stored out of view when it's not in use.
Computers: I'm going to keep my own computer in my bedroom. I don't have a problem with having 2 computers out front. I have plenty of desks of various shapes that we can use to work that out.
Living Room Focus: I like the entertainment center where it is, but I also don't like all the seats facing it as they are. I would like another couch (Jess' futon) underneath the window that the "tv seats" would face with the coffee table between them (preferably with lots of space between). Aranging it so that the sewing chair and two computer chairs just need to be rotated 180 to 'join' the configuration would be ideal.
Living Room Focus:[...] Yeah, that would be cool! I can envision that whole thing! And the fact that the couch you brought into the picture has wheels will make it easier to move that piece of furniture.
I plan to have the setup for the sewing area to be: sewing table with machine on top, little two-drawer chest of drawers to the side. For cutting I have a fold-out piece of particle board that I only really need to use once per project, and while working on a project I'd have to use an ironing board, which I can have in the kitchen. All the rest of the stuff (that in the old place was all piled in the corner) I plan to have in see-through bins in the garage, stacked neatly for ease of location.
I have approximately 3 full weeks to sew several things (including sewing something for a fellow dancer) for the show coming up June 11th, so having something set up that is household friendly, and doing it soon, will help alleviate whatever stress may come up for me re: these projects.
I have corner desk (black, 1/4 circle) that might suit your needs. The desks I have for the computers might be too deep to fit in the room, but you can check them out when you have time. Each of the desks are large enough to fit two computers side by side comfortably.
1) I only want the sewing stuff in the bedroom because it's allocating space in the community area for just one person. But if we do have room, and it could be used as a desk when not in use, I don't have a problem. I think we might still get away with having it in the living room.
2) Pepperkat, I have extra keyboards, monitors, and mouses you can use. I am planning to get a wireless router for the living room which would allow the computers up front to use normal network cards and the bedroom computers/laptops would need wireless cards.
3) Mirroring the room to place the tv in the other corner is fine, but I do plan on getting cable some day. I would prefer not to have the screen over the entertainment center or TV. I personally think it would look tacky, and I would like to have decorative stuff in and on top of it. We are going to have two computers in the room, so I don't see why you'd want to hide the electronics anyway. (Being a technophile myself I like the idea of a high tech looking living room)

Too huge? No such thing. I hope you don't mind the 21" monitor I'd be replacing it with...
