Just wanted to start a post where we could jot down anything we think of about the Deadlands game, especially with regard to character generation. I think the players should all agree on names for the mom and dad, but my suggestions for them are:

Mom: Clementine
Dad: Jed

Name: Cyler 'Cy' Mitchel
Pa's name: Clay Mitchel
Ma's name: Permelia Cardwell

Ma done died when I was young. Cought the fever something awful. Paw says I was too young to remember, but I knows I 'member seen 'er, so's I know how she looked like. Prettiest thing on God's green earth, and pa don't disagree.

Robbins' they done took us in when my paw was jus' a young man. Says they done right by him an' he thanks the Lord fo' th' day Jed and he done met. Times've been tough since then, and paw done watch o'er 'em like they's his own. Paw says most white folk'll spit on a man soon as look at 'em, but the Robbins', they ain't like that. I knows it's true though, 'nuff folk done more 'n jus' spittin' an' hollerin' at me. Jus' stick ta home though, 'cuz that's where it's safe.

I'm up in a mountain, snow is blinding me and the cold has gotten to be a dull ache that is more a memory of pain. I'm searching for something, but the darkness and snow...I can't find anything ( ... )

The major skirmishes in Kansas and the raids from Misouri occured in 1863 & 1864. One commander, Lt. Col. William C. Quantrill seems to be the kind of person our party would love to hate. His massacre in Lawrence, Kansas sounds just like what happened to our little town.
