I can't do cold. I just freeze up once it gets below 60F. I don't know how other bikers do it. :(

As long as it's not raining (I live in California), I'm riding. I need warmer gloves though :)

My bike is my main set of wheels. Rain puts me in the my truck as getting soaked + moronic car drivers is not fun or safe.

I live on my motorcycle, but I've been grounded since the beginning of the month due to an 80+mph tankslapper crash. Both bike and I are mostly fine, but my wrist is taking some time to heal up. Wish I were riding!

Awful crash, what caused it?

It happened while I was passing a semi. I pass them quickly to avoid spending much time in the oncoming lane. The bike started wobbling (likely I hit a small bump or dip, or even the wind the semi was pushing), which is not too unusual, but the wobble increased in oscillation and by the time I realized there was a problem we were both skidding across the road. I have never experienced the wobble getting worse like that, and most of the time I've felt wobbles were when the suspension wasn't correct - too light a load on heavy springs ( ... )

I just got back from a jaunt to Vegas myself. The cold doesn't stop me, but I did realize the advantages that heated gear would offer after riding through the open desert at 05:00. Next time, I'll at least bring the thermal liners for my suit, as nylon can only do so much when the ambient air temp is 30 and you're moving at lest 80mph!
