Well used to zip up that way close to 90+ on a 85 Honda while working up on Shoreline, of course it was 5am and the commute home was at 1pm 100 isn't reckless by itself. Neither was 152 across death valley, nothing there but a few ground bugs. But yeah, wheelstanding with heavy traffic is kinda rude.
I agree that speed when appropriate is rarely a worry: We've all gotten deeper into the throttle than the limit allows when the road conditions allowed for it safely.
Mind you "speed" on a cruiser is 90 vs 150+ for the hot blooded liter sports bikes, so all things are relative :)
It's the careless jackin' around on the street risking other people's safety that gets my goatee going. Risking blowing your self up is one thing, it's your bike and your hospital room, but blowing up others is another thing entirely.
As long as both wheels are on the ground, I'm more than happy to ride with you anywhere and anytime no matter if you're sitting on a mini-bike or a Goldwing, it's alll gooood :)
I must confess that the needle has broken clean off my lust-o-meter for a Ducati Diavel Carbon. From Hog Heaven to Italian Stallion - yeah, I think I can somehow force myself live with that :)
