I suggest instead of buying a device, you use an app on your cellphone on a mount. If you have a Bluetooth headset in your helmet, you can hear the voice guided directions as well, which is a big safety win instead of squinting at a vibrating screen on your 'bars ( ... )

In that case, look at the Garmin units sold at Costco. Research how much map updates costs, those can be spendy :(

PS: Power options should be easy. I forget if you're in the San Francisco Bay Area or not, if so, a visit/call to Road Rider in San Jose would be useful, they have a selection of various power solutions there.

I installed a Powerlet on my Bandit, and purchased a 3' powerlet to cigar-lighter adapter which permanently houses a 2 usb adaptor. Despite the few pieces involved, it has never left me stranded and continues to allow me to charge two different devices. Very pleased with the powerlet solution...

I had an older version of the Zumo line and it worked excellently. A little spendy but they'll do everything you need and then some for a motorcycle. The modern ones are amazing but the price could be an issue.

If you do decide to get a bluetooth headset, I recommend the Sena SMH-10.

Does the 2620 plug into the Powerlet outlet, or do you have to use an adapter?
