Locally-grown sliced pear for supper tonight with the promise of more sliced pear for breakfast along with apple chunks, freshly picked dandelions and hand-fed carrot biscuits topped with a bunny-chocolate drop - Yum!

Summat's up. I don't normally get to eat like this...

Hope you read all my notes,
just in case !!!! I don't understand
how WALLY is totally paralyzed
if that tail still moves!! He's moving
his head better than I was b-4 my
neck was fused......So, does he
still get the spasms? Is that disc
shrinking at all? I just could tell
that you want to give this every
consideration.

His X-ray showed he has a 'major compression of and some tearing to the spinal cord' at T9-10.

He can move his head and neck with no difficulty.

He has been on high doses of gabapentin for the nerve pain and spasms in addition to metacam.

He has no sensation in his limbs, no muscle tone and no reflexes apart from a very slight anal reflex.

From the head up, he is my Wally but everything from his shoulders down has gone.

Following 2 assessments with different vets, one of whom is UK-renown rabbit expert, the unanimous opinion is that he is not going to improve and had there been any possibility of this there would have been indications within 2 weeks.

The appointment has been made for tomorrow and a chunk of my heart will leave with him.

Hope you received my apology, marked as "SPAM". I did not
understand some of WALLY's
injury, & I did not intend to make
this worse. He has been
given extraordinary care
through this Please forgive me.
