i'm in love with how this turned out.

Alexander Lee Eusebio never had to question his sexuality, never had to question that he indeed thought girls were pretty and funny and nice and smart and all of the above. His Lord and Savior had made the perfect one for him, his soulmate, his only one. It was only recently that he began to question whether that someone was the best for him or not. He'd lie awake in bed at night, confused and hurt, praying to his Father, "How could you do this to me, how could you do this to me," Even though it was all in vain, he knew very well that God had a plan for him in life, and he knew just what he was doing. Was Elison Kim part of that? (Oh please god, oh please, let him be your will for me).

Elison Kim was from the South. At least, he considered all of Virginia and Washington, D.C. to be the South. He'd only lived in Fredricksburg but still! That was the South. Not that he was for slavery or condoned any of the things that the Confederate Army stood for. In the South everyone had good Christian morals and if you stood too close to a guy you'd have to call 'no homo'. San Fransisco must have been a lot different. South Korea was a lot different. Here you could touch guys and nothing would be thought of. Eli didn't have to constantly call 'no homo' because in South Korea, there were no 'homos'. Except that was just a lie. It was the nights that Alexander lie awake that Elison, too, lie awake staring up at his ceiling wondering why he couldn't just like women like the rest of the population. It'd been a thought a long time in the making - U-Kiss had only further proven it to him.

The two were natural around each other, they got along, they were close. It wasn't anything unexpected. But when left alone, they were horribly awkward, giving each other glances and looking away, skin igniting whenever either's skin would brush against the other's. But their desires, their hopes, their dreams, their feelings were never a subject that they'd stray to. Always convieniently finding a way to change the subject when it came up, no matter how uncomfortable that awkward silence might have been.

"The weather's nice today,"

"Are you CRAZY? It's very COLD outside, Eli~"

Okay, so their conversations weren't limited to trivial things like that, but they sure did get to be that way a lot. That was certainly not the kissing that both of the pair secretly wanted to be doing.

It seems so typical though, that they'd finally get the guts to confess to the other - extremely typical that they'd do it at the same time, and oh, how cliche, Christmas. But when would a better time come? What a better time to take your sweetheart out on a walk, buy them some sweets and confess that you've had feelings for them fo the longest of time?

Eli waited patiently for Alexander and they were out. The two made idle conversation as they approached a Starbucks not too far away from where they'd met up. They grabbed a Green Tea Latte and a Hot Chocolate and were on their way again, walking aimlessly without direction. Always a fun thing to do (until you got lost.) It progressively got darker, and the lights in the city came on. It was brilliant, the way that Seoul looked on Christmas Eve. But then again, anywhere looked marvelous on Christmas Eve. It was when things began to get that eerie quietness that they will on Christmas Eve that Eli finally spoke up.

"Alexander, you know there's something I've always wanted to tell you," It was straight forward and blunt, nothing fancy, not like he'd practiced over a million times. Eli just went with the flow of things. He had been deemed a player, after all. Xander's heart raced when heard those words, but he scolded himself for thinking too far ahead. It could be anything. He swallowed.

"And what might that be~?" though he was clearly nervous, his voice rang out in it's usual sing-song.

Eli never considered himself good with words so it took him a bit to formulate exactly how he was going to say it. Of course formulating it wouldn't do much good because it still would come out a jarbled mess. But he could try. He did try: "I don't know what it is, but there's something about you, something about you Alexander that makes me feel so infinite and so secure,"

His words started there and he still wishes today that he could see the way that the older man's face lit up when he spoke those words. (Despite the fact that falling in love with your Male Best Friend was a Sin). Naturally, it took the boy a few more minutes to spit out exactly what he wanted to say.

"I know saying that you make me feel infinite is as cheesy as it gets - but around you I can do anything, and you just... you've changed me in so many ways and," Alexander was starting to get frustrated, Eli was beginning to get a bit long-winded.

"Just shut up and say it, babo," he finally managed to complain, stopping abprubtly under an arch. "Tell me that you like me."

So, he did.

Alexander Lee Eusebio's heart flew and he smiled, looking up at the sky - this was truly a Christmas gift. But perhaps what was more of a Christmas gift was the exact spot that they had ended up in. When Xander had glanced up he noticed something. Tugging Eli closer and shaking his coat's sleeve, he pointed up towards the middle of the arch. Oh, what was that? Mistletoe.
